80 words
vi). Section D consists of 2 Long Answer type questions carrying 05
marks each. Answer to these questions should be in the range of 80
to 120 words.
vii). Section E consists of 2 source-based/case-based units of assessment
of 04 marks each with sub-parts.

16. (a) The velocity of a body moving in a straight line is increased by applying a
constant force F, for some distance in the direction of the motion. Prove that the
increase in the kinetic energy of the body is equal to the work done by the force on

of 60km/h.
(c) Can any object have momentum even if its mechanical energy is zero? Explain.

18. Kanav was riding a bicycle on a road, suddenly he banged into a standing car and fell
from his cycle. Passers saw Kanav struggling to stand, they helped him stand and dropped
him home. On reaching home, he realised that his leg was paining severely and developed
swelling. His parents rushed him to the orthopedician who is specialised in bone and
muscle injuries. An X-ray was done to see the condition of his injured leg. Given below is

Q19. There are large numbers of compounds made of metal and non metal atoms in
