Sideslope: slope can be calculated from last segment.

XPAD Survey for Android 3.5.200

General

Date and time format: in Settings > Miscellaneous it is possible to define the date and the time
format. All information about date and time will use the defined format.

Temperature unit: in TPS Atmospheric coefficients it is possible to enter the temperature in C° or

in F°.

X64 version – automatic update: the automatic update download now the X64 version while
before the default version was downloaded.

Input coordinate in ECEF: a new point can be insert with ECEF coordinate. ECEF coordinates can be
handled also in editing of o the point.

Job and site properties: it is now possible to modify coordinates of the job/site.

Map view of jobs and sites: map view of jobs and sites didn’t work in the right way. Not it is fixed.

Survey code library: fixed error on saving the library with an existing file name.

CAD

Point on map: points were displayed on map even if they were not visible.

Offset arc: fixed error if offset value was greater than the arc radius.

Survey GNSS

Master point: a new category of point can be stored. If some points require a longer time
acquisition it is possible to select the option “Master point” and define the time to stay on this type

of points. In this way you can easily collect reference points with more accuracy than standard
points.

RTCM3.1: adjusted RTCM3.1 GNSS position (latitude – longitude – height) is stored for each point
and measure; before it was stored the original GNSS position without adjustment. To each measure
is also stored the adjustment values (delta latitude, longitude, height).

GNSS raw data interval: added interval of 15 secs.

Stakeout

Reset stakeout status: in Job > Survey data > Points > Tools it is possible to reset the “already
stakeout” status of each point. In this way a point can be stakeout again.

TPS

Measure TPS: tape measurement now stores the value 34.4 as target constant.

Report Free station: angular residual is included in the free station report.

Surfaces

Surface drawing: improved the rendering time especially for big surfaces.

Road

Stakeout sidelope: the elevation difference with the center line elevation is displayed together
with the other information when a position is accepted.

Where am I TPS: fixed an error on changing the target height.

Axis and surface selection: fixed some small bugs.

Automeasuring

Export XML: exported target data of each single point.

Aim360: a new option allows to define the behavior of the Aim360. If the prism is not found it can
be searched on a window of different size.

Bathymetry

Store points: a new option allows to register the bathymetry data as points and not only as
bathymetry lines.

General

X-Do!: X-Do! Is a special button that can be linked to X-PAD actions during survey and stakeout. It
includes three states and each state can be linked to an action in survey and stakeout. It is possible
to handle more than one button at the same time.

TPS

Check out of level: Measures with the total station out of level are now checked by X-PAD; if the
level is over the limit defined by the user, the measure is not accepted and discarded. In this way
you have more control on your work and on your surveyed points.

False target lock: Sometimes happens that TPS lock another prism or lock a false target; if you are
far from the total station it is almost impossible to understand that TPS is not locked to your target.
A new check has been introduced in X-PAD and detects if you are storing points on the same
position; if this condition is verified a warning appears to the user informing that probably the TPS
is not locked to your prism. No more risk to store a lot of points on the same position!

Automatic free station: Sometimes in a job site there are several fixed control points and every
time you have to measure some of them to calculate your free station. With the new Automatic
free station option you can press one button and the TPS will search and measure the control
points in a total automatic way and you have just to check if the free station residuals can be
accepted! The position of the target points detected in the job site is stored and they are skipped
during the power search.

Fixed targets: Fixed targets in the job site can be detected after the station setup and their position
is stored; during power search, if a fixed target is locked, then it is automatically discharged and the
power search restart automatically to find the next target. In this way there is no risk to lock on
wrong target and loose time to restart the power search.

Free station results: New details about the quality of the free station are now available; no just the
horizontal and vertical residuals but also the residuals in East, North and the angular residuals.

Search prism with controller GPS: The GPS included in the controller can now be used to find the
prism in robotic mode; according to the current coordinate system and to the position of the
controller, the position of the prism is known; when the lock of the prism is lost, the TPS can rotate
automatically to the new position of the prism calculated using the GPS position of the controller.

GNSS

Mandatory GNSS configuration: In some cadastral works it is necessary to prove that receiver has
been configured in the right way and so the stored data are reliable. To satisfy this request a new
option has been added in X-PAD; if the option has been activated, then receiver will be configured
at every connection and the result of the connection is stored in the job file.

Automatic base startup: If the TPS has the Automatic free station option, then the GNSS has the
Automatic base option; Automatic base consists in an automatic procedure that calculate first the
right base position using the NTRIP server defined and then, on the calculated position, starts the
base for the rover receivers that can start to work.

Survey & Stakeout

Pictures autotag: Store a point sometimes is not just store the position but it is also a recording of a
picture of the point. The picture itself it is incomplete without additional information as the
recording time and the coordinates of the position. This information is now automatically included
in every picture stored with a point.

Stakeout

Point to stakeout: In point’s stakeout, it is now possible to change the target point directly from
the main window without to have to come back to the previous dialog.

Sideslopes stakeout: a new value can be displayed in the sideslopes stakeout; not only current
slope, vertical distance to design slope, horizontal distance to design slope but also perpendicular
distance to design slope.

Automeasuring

The Automeasuring modules has been improved with several new features among which the
option to define, for each single point, the target type and the tolerance. In this way you can have
points with different prism type and different tolerance according to the risk related to their
position. The automatic messages that are sent by X-PAD can be customized in order to be
detected and parsed by automatic systems that check the status of the site. A specific export has
been created for Vista Data Vision software that allow to load, analyse and visualize all the
measured information with graphs.

GIS

GIS lines and polygons: GIS attributes can be assigned to each point; but if a point belongs to a line
then the attributes will be assigned only for the first point of the line and belongs also to the line.
ESRI shape file generated has single points with their attributes and lines with the assigned
attributes.

Import & Export

Import DXF in mm: Sometime DXF drawings has been created in millimeters distance unit and to be
imported in X-PAD have to be scaled in meters. A new option allows to specify if the drawing is in
millimeter and then it is automatically scaled in meters.

Import GSI: imported points can overwrite existing points with the same name or can be
automatically renamed.

ASCII: latitude-longitude values can be exported in the following formats:

ASCII – Invert coordinates: a new option in import and export allow to invert the sign of the
coordinates.

ASCII – file extension: it is possible to define the extension of the ASCII file that will be created.

Zenith10/20/35: fixed some small bugs on storing the raw data file for post-processing.

Zenith15/25: fixed a bug on radio channel selection.

Geocentric coordinates: it is possible to enter geocentric (Earth centered) coordinates to stakeout.

Parcels

Edit parcel: it is now possible to edit existing parcels and change the name.

Zenith 35: included the calibration application utility that allow to perform the full compass
calibration. Full compass calibration is necessary to use the Zenith35 in tilted mode.

TPS

Zoom90 – Robotic dialog: fixed some small bugs in the robotic dialog.

Survey

Survey codes: fixed some small bugs in the use of the survey codes.

X•Pole

Prism lost and not GPS fixed: if the receiver is not in fixed mode the TPS rotate toward the prism
using only the coordinate and not using the elevation.

Volumes

Auto adjust cut-fill: volume on reference plane can be calculated with Auto adjustment of cut-fill.
Keeping the defined plane slopes, the plane is adjusted vertically to balance cut and fill volumes.

Volume – query elevation difference: a new tool allows to get the cut and fill elevation difference
by clicking on the calculated volume graphic view. In this way you can easily have the exact
elevation difference and not just a colorization.

Volume – report: improved the size and the quality of the drawing included in the volume’s report.
