Get Connected with Allen-Bradley Drives.
Get information when and where you need it.
Whether communicating point-to-point across a room or across
a network through a master control station to other products,
drives now share control information that improves diagnostics
and provides unprecedented networked data while helping to
reduce installation costs. New integrated industrial drive products
allow you to get information when and where you need it. While
most network systems utilize programmable controllers, industrial
network applications may now be designed with other controlling
devices. In fact, drives on networks are allowed to share I/O for
better synchronization.

In some applications, man-machine interfaces can be used as

primary controllers in a system. Allen-Bradley drives are using
communication features to help create advanced system
solutions for your new and existing automation applications.

SCANport Interface ™

SCANport is the standard peripheral interface for most

Allen-Bradley drive products. This standard enables a family of
communication adapters to provide connectivity for entire families
of drive products. By implementing this standard, we can focus on
creating new interface adapters for existing and future products
and protocols independent of the enabled products. This means that
whenever a new interface adapter is developed, it can immediately
be utilized by the existing family of enabled products. Also, as
new drive products or families of products are developed, they
immediately have a variety of optional interfaces available at
release. This is a WIN-WIN situation for Allen-Bradley customers:

• Existing SCANport-enabled products on the factory floor

can work with new interface adapters.
• New SCANport-enabled products can connect to existing
factory networks.

SCANport-enabled products:
• 1305 AC Drive
• 1336 PLUS AC Drive
• 1336 PLUS II AC Drive
• 1336 IMPACT AC Drive
• 1336 FORCE AC Drive
• 1336 SPIDER AC Drive
