FS 2 - Episode 3
FS 2 - Episode 3
At the end of this Learning Episode, I must be able to revisit the concept of
learning environment in the context of the current teaching and learning situation.
Access to resources - Audio-visual materials are ready and open for use.
The classroom climate nurtures the intellectual, physical, social and emotional
development of the students.
Here are some specific strategies for developing the optimal classroom climate. You
may consider these.
2. Create a sense of order. For example, teacher should teach students how to
find out about missed assignments due to absence and how to make up for
them;
Both approaches, either the traditional face-to-face or online, lead to positive results
but in different ways, so usually in practice both approaches are combined
PERFORMANCE TASK 1:
Activity 1:
The Venn Diagram shows two contrasting situations. The first shows that the learners are in the
same room or space while in the second, the learners maybe in different learning spaces like homes,
study hubs or in extreme cases parks or under the trees.
As a teacher, in which of the two situations would you prefer to manage for learning? Choose between
Learning Environment `1 and Learning Environment 2.
As a future teacher I will choose or prefer both situation to manage learning. You must be
flexible in any situation you will have. A true teacher doesn’t choose learning environment, it’s
the learning that gives the environment.
What will you do to assist your mentor in setting up a conducive learning environment in the following
conditions:
Activity 3:
If you are assisting your mentor in an online class, these are some reminders you should
share to your remote learners on a synchronous platform like Google Meet, Zoom, MOOCs or
any other platform you are familiar with or are using.
With the use of Google Meet, Zoom or any platform, organize a virtual class. Do this with the
guidance of your mentor.
Try to handle one online class and use the guidelines above. Happy virtual teaching!
There is no online class learning in the school of my resource teacher. So I can’t handle
this kind of classes.
Activity 4:
To ensure that I can carry out/ perform my tasks efficiently and effectively in
participating and assisting my cooperating teacher in establishing routines and procedures, in
the classroom or in remote learning, I must be guided by the following questions:
What are the routines and procedures that I need to establish before, during, and after my
classes whether on a face-to-face or remote learning?
The procedures and routine that I need to establish before, during, and after my classes
whether on a face-to-face or remote learning is checking up the attendance and doing
formative and summative assessment all throughout the learning process, and give
positive feedback.
What verbal and non-verbal communication will I use to signal that students need help/
attention in the classroom/ remote learning?
Verbal and non-verbal communication will I use to signal that student need help in the
classroom/ remote learning is” raising your right hand’ and says “maam, can I ask
something?
How must students get/ secure the needed work materials and books and others in the
classroom/ remote learning?
To help students get the resources materials they need in education the teacher
provides a box with label that contained all the modules needed for each students. And
plastic envelop with student’s name.
How will students transition to group work and other cooperative activities in the
classroom/remote learning?
Students transition to group work and other cooperative activities in the
classroom/remote learning is to have or in choosing the same interest.
What procedures must be followed by students who need to attend to personal necessities
in the classroom/ online classes?
The Procedures must be followed by students who need to attend to personal
necessities in the classroom/ online classes is to secure connectivity and the awareness
in the manipulation of or the Educational technology.
What rules must be set for students who finish task early/ and for those who cannot
complete work on time?
Set a deadline for every task.
What procedures must be employed in movements into and out of the classroom/ remote
learning?
Find ways to adapt distance learning lessons to include movement, even if it's just asking
students to stand up, move around, and come sit back down. For virtual class students must tap
the raise hand before speaking.
Having these guide questions in mind, consult with a junior high school teacher and ask him/her
what classroom routines he/she needs help with. One routine for online classes/ modular,
another one for offline meetings/ transactions. Craft this classroom routine and give him/ her a
copy. Another copy with attached “received” signature from the classroom teacher will be sent
together with this module.

allow teacher monitor students behavior
and attention in the class.
Classroom Routine Description
Formative assessment ( Oral Recitation) This will allow students and teachers how
effective the lesson is. Through feedbacks.
Summative assessment (Paper and Pencil Evaluate students learning during the
test) discussion.
Classroom Routine
For Offline meeting/ transaction
Throughout the day Every subject contain only 1 hour class, then students
observe classroom movement per subject.
Ending the day Every end of the subject, teacher gives assignments
for the next day’s lesson.
Having been exposed to the traditional classrooms in your basic education, it seems that
everything is familiar. However, as teaching-learning theories evolve over time there are
changes that are taking place.
What changes have you noticed in the face-to-face classroom spaces?

apps.
Student can come to work toward specific Modern learning environments are designed with the
goals set before them in the class objectives. assumption that students will have constant access to
connectivity.
As a teacher, what have you discovered to be easy to implement in your virtual class?
First to have a connection, and to provide activity nor an interactive activity which
students actively participated in the class, it can be if possible a rewards.
How did the students show their active participation in the lesson?
A participation may notify through response and feedbacks. When teachers ask questions to
students, they are letting students know something about the importance of certain ideas and
information based on the lesson.
What have you noticed of the display in the class bulletin board? What message or theme does it
convey?
The display in the class bulletin board focused in different subject in the classroom.
They can convey a variety of information from meeting announcements and parent
news to curriculum overviews and displays of student work.
If the teacher is using a distance delivery of learning through the modules, where is most likely the
learning space of the students?
If the teacher is using distance delivery of learning through the modules the most likely
the learning space of the students is at home.
How can you as a teacher help to make such environment conducive for learning?
As a teacher I will enhance the learning of students, improve the quality of education
and produce vibrant minds of high-level proficiency, what we need today are dedicated
and motivated teachers who can change the course of traditional classroom setup and
promote conducive environments of learning.
What do you think brought the changes in the face-to-face learning environment now?
The factors brought the changes in the face to face learning environment now is cause by the
pandemic. However, the learning environment has many changes brought by the technology.
The most notable use of technology is that it no longer limits lesson time to that traditional four
walls of the classroom, creating learning environment in home.
From the changes that you identified, choose one that you can do. How will you do it?
Through internet and technology teacher will able to reach out students from their home, nor
use different mode of learning by which teacher and students will interact with each other.
Some teacher has worked out creatively using technology. They stretch beyond lecture format
and include live demonstration, experiment, and video tutorial.
Which of the following is/are your analysis/ analyses of online learning environment?
Do you think making the learning environment conducive for a face-to-face classroom will enable the
learners to achieve better learning outcomes? Explain your answer.
-. Yes, a positive classroom environment helps improve attention, reduce anxiety, and
supports emotional and behavioral regulation of students. Learners are more likely to
acquire higher motivation that leads to wonderful learning outcomes.
As a future teacher I feel that the online learning environment can be safe if teachers provide a
safe and engaging learning environment for students.
I think that teaching in a virtual learning environment is somehow not same learning or level of
learning that students will learn.
What insights have you gained while doing Activity 4 under Participate and Assist?
I have learned that while doing activity four under participating and assisting is that classroom routine
help teacher make classroom environment more conductive to learning.

Work on my Artifacts
In not less than 300 words, write an essay on the topic: "My Conducive Learning
Environment”
Students will be more motivated to learn if they are in a favorable learning environment, such
as one with comfortable classroom setups, appropriate teaching materials, and engaging classroom
activities.
Students will be able to participate actively and improve their learning habits. An engaged
learning environment has been demonstrated to boost students’ attention and focus, promote
meaningful learning experiences, support greater levels of student achievement, and push students to
practice higher-level critical thinking abilities, according to research.
A good, supportive atmosphere is a necessary component of learning. A student feels at ease in a
favorable atmosphere, one in which healthy connections with peers and teachers flourish. Learning
becomes something that children easily adjust to and look forward to in a happy setting. Students must
be nurtured with love, care, and support in order to achieve this atmosphere. Simply put, a positive
classroom environment is critical because it allows students to be true leaders of their own learning by
allowing them to be inquirers and explorers. A positive environment is one in which children can work as
a team, celebrate each other’s accomplishments, and learn from their mistakes. It improves pupils’
ability to study and be productive in the sense of self-directed learning.
