A young Japanese salaryman found himself the victim of a tragic accident when he was struck by
a truck. However, he was reincarnated as a baby in a world filled with magic, a world he had
never known before. The baby was taken in by the wizard Merlin Wolford, who named him Shin
and raised him as his own grandson.
As Shin grew older, Merlin taught him the ways of magic. He also introduced him to his friends:
Melida, who taught Shin the art of magical item craftsmanship, and Michael, who taught him
swordplay. By the time Shin was 10 years old, Merlin invited him to hunt demons in the forest.
Merlin then teaches about the magic of detecting evil auras to track the whereabouts of demons.
Unexpectedly, Shin managed to master it quickly and find the demon's location. The demon
takes the form of a forest bear, and then Shin fights the bear demon alone, using all his fighting
skills to defeat the demon.
Finally, Shin managed to beat him. At the same time, Merlin became amazed to see Shin's
fighting ability, which prompted Merlin to reveal to him the circumstances of his discovery in
the forest. It turned out that his parents had been attacked by a bear demon while passing through
the forest, but Shin managed to survive the attack until Merlin
finally found him and decided to take good care of him. However, Shin already knew about his
past life because he had memories of it.
As Shin reached the age of 15, Merlin realized that he had not taught Shin the basic life skills
that he would need to survive in society. Additionally, Merlin was hesitant to allow Shin to enter
society because he knew that Shin's extensive scientific knowledge from his previous life could
potentially cause chaos. As they discussed this issue, Shin learned that his uncle Dis, big brother
Sieg, and big sister Chris were actually important figures in society. Dis was King Diseum of
Earlshied, Sieg was the Court Magician, and Chris was a member of the Royal Guard. All three
of them were old friends of Merlin.
After much consideration, it was decided that Shin should attend Earlshied Magic Academy in
order to learn about society and make friends. To accomplish this, they moved to a house in the
city. While exploring the city, Shin comes across two girls, Maria and Sizilien, who are also
hoping to attend the academy. Shin saves them from some thugs and is immediately smitten with
Sizilien, whom he finds particularly charming.
On the day of the entrance exam, in the schoolyard, there was a student named Kurt trying to
injure Shin, but Shin quickly incapacitated him. Kurt used his status as a noble to threaten Shin,
but the royal prince named "August" came to stop Kurt. After that, Kurt immediately left, but he
was very annoyed with Shin. Then Shin was surprised when he found out that August was a
prince, and August was also happy when Shin thought of him as a cousin.
Then the school entrance examination begins, and after completing the written exam, they will
conduct a practical exam. The supervisor asked Shin to hold back his strength.
so that the place would not be destroyed, even though he had withheld his power, Shin
accidentally destroyed the area. After that, Shin got first place in the entrance exam for the magic
school, causing Kurt to become even more furious.
To further improve his abilities, Shin modifies the protective spells on his academy uniform.
Meanwhile, Sizilien confides in Shin that Kurt has been pressuring her romantically and that she
has repeatedly rejected him. When August learns of Kurt's behavior, he uses his royal status to
force Kurt to leave the academy.
However, Kurt's departure does not resolve the situation entirely, as he still poses a threat to
Sizilien's safety. Concerned for her well-being, Shin invites everyone over to his house to ask
Merlin and Melida if he can modify Sizilien's uniform to better protect her. Melida reveals that
this modification would make Sizilien's uniform a National Treasure-level item, a designation
reserved for the most powerful magical artifacts in the kingdom.
Despite the potential implications, Sizilien refused the modification, proving her honesty and
worthiness to Melida. In the meantime, King Diseum warns Shin not to reveal his ability to
create national treasure-level items, as it could lead to war between the kingdoms. Nevertheless,
Diseum requests that Shin create uniforms for August, Julius, and Thor.
At the end of the day, Shin offers to use his secret teleportation spell to take everyone back to
their respective homes, including Maria and Sizilien.
The next day, Shin takes on the role of escorting Sizilien to and from school. He decides not to
join any clubs, but Augustus suggests that he start his own, which quickly becomes popular with
the entire class. They call it the Ultimate Magic Study Group. Diseum's council discusses an
increase in demon sightings, which leads Diseum to order an investigation. Meanwhile, Kurt's
father confronts him about his behavior, but Kurt's anger towards commoners and hatred of Shin
lead his father to withdraw him from the academy and lock him up. Following that, a teacher
named Schtrom Oliver arrived and used magic to transform Kurt into a demonic human before
commanding him to attack Shin.Meanwhile, Augustus and Thor discuss Kurt's radical change in
behavior, and Thor reveals that Kurt's behavior changed after visiting Mr. Schtrom, a blind
teacher who was exiled from another kingdom. Shin accidentally reveals another secret to his
friends when he tells them he killed a demon when he was 10 years old. Shortly after, Shin
senses a demon before Kurt appears and transforms into a demon, attacking them all. As a result,
Shin used barrier magic to block the attack and protect his classmate.
Even though his hand was badly injured, his uniform contained healing magic. Shin forces
everyone else to run while he faces Kurt, hoping he can destroy the demon magic while sparing
Kurt's life. However, when Kurt begins a spell that would destroy the entire academy, Shin is
forced to kill him by severing his head. Augustus warns Shin that destroying a demon will make
him famous and make his life very difficult for the foreseeable future.
The next day, Shin felt strange because Kurt had suddenly become a demon, but at the time he
was fighting, Kurt still had human consciousness. Shin then theorizes that Kurt was a victim of
human experimentation, and Diseum presents him with a medal for destroying Kurt. Merlin is
angry that Diseum is involving Shin in politics, but he accepts that it is necessary. Shin's fame
means his tutors have to test students wanting to join his study group to keep membership
manageable. Two students, Mark and Olivia, manage to join Shin's group. Shin asks Mark, the
son of a blacksmith, to upgrade his sword to better handle his enchantments.
The Security Bureau investigates Schtrom, who expresses remorse over Kurt's death. The
investigators invite him to help by studying Kurt's corpse, but once at the castle, they reveal that
Kurt's name was never made public. Exposed, Schtrom destroys part of the castle. Shin engages
him in a duel that destroys Schtrom's mask, revealing that he is not blind but has Demonoid eyes.
Shin casts a heat ray spell so hot it turns the sand floor to glass, leaving Shin unsure if Schtrom
disintegrated or escaped. Diseum's council congratulates him on his victory, but they have no
idea what he is talking about when Shin tries to explain his heat ray spell. Schtrom is revealed to
have escaped and survived.
Melida is worried that Shin and Sizilien aren't in a romantic relationship. Shin tells her that he's
concerned that Schtrom, the teacher who turned Kurt into a demon, may still be alive. To prepare
for a potential battle, August pays Mark's father to create a new sword for Shin.
Meanwhile, the king of Blusfia learns from his spy Zest that Earlshied is struggling with demon
attacks and may invade. Shin decides to buy Sizilien a ring, which initially makes her flustered
until he reveals it's for another defense enchantment. However, his friends are annoyed by his
foolishness.
In a public ceremony, Diseum presents Shin with his medal and promises he won't be used for
political or military purposes. Shin decides to help his friends level up, but teaching them his
spells is difficult since they lack the necessary scientific knowledge.
Unbeknownst to Shin, Schtrom and his subordinate Miria are secretly manipulating Blusfia's
king. However, Merlin reveals that it's now possible for others to learn Shin's spells, which
inspires his friends.
Shin picks up his new sword, which has a detachable blade for easy replacement. August thinks
the design could be useful for the military, especially with the looming threat of war with
Blusfia. Despite Diseum's promise, Shin decides he will fight in the war if necessary to protect
his loved ones.
Earlshied emerges victorious against Blusfia's army. Meanwhile, Schtrom kills the Blusfian king
and destroys the entire kingdom. Diseum's council receives a message from Schtrom claiming
that he has turned several of Blusfia's strongest magicians into demonoids under his control. In
response, Diseum announces that academy students must train with the students of the Knight
Military Institute. This decision upsets everyone, as Knight students are known for being bullies.
Shin forms a team with August, Sizilien, Maria, and four knights, namely Kreis, Miranda, Neun,
and Kent. However, the Knights' attitudes frustrate August, and he orders Shin to let them fight
demons without their help. Siegfried and Christina are appointed as team advisors.
While on a mission to find a boar demon, the knights are quickly defeated. This forces Shin to
sever the boar's head and save them. The knights realize how much they have to learn and how
crucial it is to have a magician's support. Sizilien heals their wounds, causing the three Knight
boys to develop crushes on her. This makes Shin, Maria, and Miranda jealous.
When more demons attack, an annoyed Shin destroys them all with a massive explosion spell,
leaving the knights impressed. Miranda apologizes for being jealous of Shin's abilities and then
apologizes to Sizilien for insulting her boyfriend, causing massive embarrassment to both Shin
and Sizilien, who insist that they are not dating yet.
As the group continues to train, the knights and magicians struggle to work together effectively.
Shin also learns that his study club, which he taught some of his spells to, will be forced to form
a special team after graduation under the command of August. This team will be supervised by
the kingdom for the rest of their lives. While Shin feels guilty about this, his club members are
pleased since they view it as recognition of their abilities and a guaranteed career.
Days later, August reveals that most of Blusfia has been destroyed and even more Demonoids
have been created from their population. Suspecting Schtrom is behind it, Shin decides to put the
club members through a training camp over summer break, with Sizilien offering the use of a hot
spring owned by her family. To ensure adult supervision, Merlin and Melida insist on coming
along as chaperones.
As the group spends time at the resort, Merlin is happy to find that Shin has made excellent male
friends. Meanwhile, Melida amuses herself by teasing the girls about each other's breast sizes in
the hot spring. She also declares that she and Merlin will train the club members to be as strong
as possible. Even the servants of Sizilien's family tease her about her future relationship with
Shin.
After succeeding in making his explosion spell even stronger, Shin receives a scolding from
Melida for his recklessness. He then visits August's home and meets his fiancée Elizabeth and
younger sister May. Both of them are angry with August for not inviting them to meet Melida
and insisting on attending the training camp. Elizabeth admits that she has an ulterior motive,
which is to make sure that Shin doesn't steal August from her since August talks about Shin all
the time.
August warns Shin that he needs to confess his love to Sizilien soon or risk losing her to
someone else. When Sizilien expresses her desire to have children with Shin, he realizes that she
is right and confesses his love to her. Sizilien also admits that she loves Shin, and they become a
couple. However, their first kiss is ruined when they discover that their friends, Merlin, Melida,
and Sizilien's servants, were all spying on them.
The following day, Shin suggests training at the beach and uses it as an excuse to play magicians'
volleyball. Late at night, everyone starts reminiscing about their childhoods, but when Melida
barges in to tell them to go to sleep, they all hide. Shin accidentally jumps into Sizilien's bed to
hide, and her cries alert Melida, who lectures them all mercilessly.
Shin shares with Sizilien's parents, Cecil and Eileen, that they are dating. Cecil is delighted, but
Eileen cautions that being a Viscount's daughter comes with certain expectations. To meet those
expectations, Shin agrees to become Sizilien's fiancé. Merlin invites August's fiancée Elizabeth
and his little sister May to Shin's training camp. Elizabeth confesses she cannot use magic, but
May shows potential.
Meanwhile, Schtrom's demons continue to attack merchant caravans, disrupting the country's
food supplies. To address this, Shin creates a flying spell, but his explanation falls short. Melida
and Merlin explain to Sizilien's parents that Shin is not their biological grandson, but Cecil and
Eileen reassure them that they accept Shin for who he is.
Shin creates more National Treasure clothing to protect the club members on their next demon
hunt. To ensure May does not feel left out, he creates a magical device that allows her to
communicate with them during the hunt, which infuriates Melida.
During the demon hunt, Shin lets the club members take the lead, demonstrating that they are
now strong enough to fight and defeat demons without his help.
Finally, Shin and Sizilien attend an engagement party where they formally announce their
engagement. After the party, Shin proposes to Sizilien in private with an engagement ring. #
Schtrom accomplished his goal of destroying the Blusfia Empire by demonizing commoners who
killed the nobility. After the Empire was destroyed, Schtrom declared that he no longer needed
an army and released the Demonoids from his control. However, Miria challenged his animosity
towards the Empire, prompting Schtrom to explain that he was once a Lord of the Empire who
believed in treating commoners fairly and opposed the practice of slavery. This made him an
enemy of the other lords, who resented the loss of tax revenue from the commoners who moved
to his lands seeking better lives.
Eventually, King Herald framed Schtrom for kidnapping commoners to sell as slaves, which led
to the burning of his home and the tragic deaths of his wife Aria and their unborn child.
Overwhelmed by grief, Schtrom became consumed with a desire to destroy the Blusfia Empire,
which he accomplished. However, having achieved his goal, he became aimless and lacked
direction.
Zest sent his subordinate Lawrence to persuade the Demonoids to attack the Sweed Kingdom,
hoping to draw Shin into a battle and give Schtrom a new goal of destroying Shin. During a
ceremony naming August as Diseum’s official heir, news arrived of the attack on Sweed. Shin
announced that he was renaming his club the Ultimate Magicians before setting off to defend
Sweed.
Shin and his group, the Ultimate Magicians, are able to arrive in Sweed quickly due to their
magical abilities, allowing them to begin attacking the Demonoids who have invaded the
country. Meanwhile, August, Sweed's leader, delivers an inspiring speech to his people and
soldiers, urging them to fight against the invaders. The Magicians notice a few things during the
fight: all of the Demonoids are actually commoners from the now-destroyed Blusfia Empire,
they have managed to keep their sanity, and they all hold a strong hatred for the nobility.
As the battle rages on, Sizilien focuses on healing the injured. Lawrence, who was sent by Zest
to observe Shin's abilities, is amazed by the young magician's immense power and begins to
believe that Schtrom may not be able to find a way to exploit his weaknesses. August and Maria
face off against the leader of the Demonoids, Fabro, and despite his use of defensive magic items
stolen from Sweed soldiers, they eventually emerge victorious. Over a hundred Demonoids are
killed in the battle, which shocks Lawrence even further as he realizes the incredible strength of
the Ultimate Magicians.
Zest, who is nearby and witnessing the events, starts to have second thoughts about manipulating
Schtrom into fighting Shin. He worries that Schtrom may not survive such a battle. Wanting to
save Lawrence and as many Demonoids as possible, Zest turns to Miria for help. Schtrom, who
was aware of Zest's plan all along, decides to go along with it.
With Miria as a distraction, Lawrence and the Demonoids retreat. Sizilien works tirelessly to
heal the wounded, but Shin invents a powerful, multi-step healing spell that saves the life of a
critically injured man. August is amazed by Shin's abilities and begins to wonder just how
powerful he will become.
Following their victory, August proposes that Sweed and Earlshied form an alliance to protect
each other against future attacks. He and Shin decide to travel to other kingdoms to form
alliances and make it easier for Shin to teleport to any kingdom in case of an attack. Diseum is
proud of August's efforts to seek alliances with other kingdoms, while Merlin and Melida advise
Shin to keep August safe on their journey.
Elizabeth and May insist on accompanying Shin and the Magicians on their travels, and every
Ultimate Magician joins the group. Meanwhile, Schtrom is annoyed that his subordinates lost to
Shin but requests that Miria keep him informed if their plan to conceive a baby together has been
successful.
Zest is torn between feeling glad or afraid that Schtrom has made defeating Shin his new goal. In
an effort to save Lawrence and as many Demonoids as possible, Zest asks Miria to intervene.
Miria becomes a distraction, allowing Lawrence and the Demonoids to retreat to safety.
As the group prepares to set off for the next kingdom, Merlin and Melida are relieved that they
can finally relax. However, the magicians surprise them by teleporting back every night to save
money on renting rooms for their group of fourteen.
