Prerequisite: MTH 32 (Calculus II), ENG 100 or 110 if required
Textbook: Elementary Linear Algebra (Applications Version), Anton and Rorres, 11 ed., Cengage Learning

Course Description: Systems of linear equations, matrices and determinants. Vector spaces, subspaces, bases, di-
mension. Linear transformations, rank, nullity, inverse transformations. Change of basis. Similarity and isomorphism.
Eigenvalues and eigenvectors.

Grade: Your course grade will be based on two in-class exams, regular homework assignments, and the final exam.

Makeup and lateness policy: Homework will be collected periodically. Missed tests: with a valid excuse, you
will be permitted a makeup test.

Academic Integrity: Academic dishonesty (such as plagiarism and cheating) is prohibited at Bronx Community
College and is punishable by penalties, including failing grades, dismissal and expulsion.
