Subject: - Classificatio n of Posts in the revised pay sca les-Amendments
in the Recruitment and Promotion Rules.
'Madam/Sir,
I am directed to say that consequent upon the revision of pay

scales in . Himach al Pradesh with effect from 1st J a nuary, 2016, the
Finance Depar tm ent h ave laid d~wn the following norms for re-
classification of posts vide th eir O.M . No. FIN(PR)-B( 1)-1 /2022 dated 7th
September, 202 2:-
"Group-A LEVEL 16 TO LEVEL 3 1

R&P Rules may also be amended in view of the re-classification of post, ~

wherever necessary. While doing so, instructions issued in this regard vide
letter No. Per(A-II)A(3)2/80-IIl dated 5.8.95 by this Department may also
be kept in view.
3. Since the Classification of posts is directly linked with the
revision of pay scales for which the Council of Ministers has already
authorized the Finance Department to issu e the orders linked with the
revision of pay scales, the Finance Department has already fIXed the
revised norms for re-classification of the posts under the powers delegated
by the Cabinet. As such, there is no need to follow the prescribed
procedure i. e. consultation of all advisory departments for making
necessary amendments in the concerned Recruitment and Promotion
Rules.
4. Therefore, the Administrative Departments are requested to
carry out this amendment in all the releva nt Recruitment and Promotion
Rules at their own level, after comple tion of all codal formai\ties I.e .
obtaining prior approval of competent authority.
5. It is further stated that any classification which has been
. assigned to any Group under a specific or special orders of the
Government, may be revised after obtaining further orders of the
Government.
