Grading System (Total: 100%)

1. Classroom Observation Report – 30%

• Content and Accuracy of Observations (15%): How detailed and accurate


the students' observations are regarding teaching methods, classroom
management, and student behavior.
• Critical Analysis (10%): The depth of analysis, including identification of
effective strategies and areas for improvement.
• Presentation and Structure (5%): Clarity, organization, and formatting of
the report.

2. Reflection Papers – 20%

• Insightfulness (10%): The depth of personal reflections, including


connections to educational theories and personal learning experiences.
• Professional Growth (5%): Demonstration of growth in understanding the
teaching-learning process.
• Writing Quality (5%): Coherence, grammar, and logical flow.

3. Participation and Engagement in Observation Activities – 20%

• Attendance and Punctuality (10%): Regularity and timeliness in attending


the scheduled observation sessions.
• Active Engagement (10%): Participation in discussions, interactions with
mentor teachers, and responsiveness during the field activities.

4. Portfolio Compilation – 15%

• Completeness (10%): Inclusion of all required components (observation


reports, reflection papers, field notes, etc.).
• Organization and Presentation (5%): The neatness, clarity, and
organization of the portfolio.

5. Mentor Teacher’s Evaluation – 10%

• Professionalism and Attitude (5%): Demonstration of professionalism in


the school environment (punctuality, respectfulness, etc.).
• Learning Initiative (5%): Initiative in asking questions, seeking feedback,
and showing eagerness to learn from the mentor.

6. Final Presentation – 5%

• Clarity and Delivery (3%): How well the student presents their overall
learning experience.

Proposed Grading System for FS I (For Professor Handling the Course)

1. 50% – Grade from the Resource Teacher


o Professionalism and Work Ethic (20%): Evaluates punctuality,
attitude, respectfulness, and responsibility during observation and
interaction with the students and staff.
o Engagement in Classroom Activities (15%): Participation in
discussions, willingness to assist in classroom tasks, and initiative in
learning.
o Classroom Observation Skills (15%): Ability to observe and report
on classroom dynamics, teaching strategies, and student behavior.
2. 30% – Grade from Episode-Based Outputs
o Quality of Responses to Episodes (20%): Accuracy, depth of
understanding, and completeness of answers in each episode.
o Application of Theoretical Knowledge (10%): How well the student
applies educational theories and concepts in their responses and
reflections.
3. 20% – Grade from FS Professor
o Overall Performance and Submission of Requirements (10%):
Timeliness, quality of submitted work (reports, reflection papers, etc.),
and adherence to instructions.
o Participation in Class Discussions/Meetings (5%): Engagement
during in-class or online discussions, interactions with peers and the
professor.
o Final Portfolio and Presentation (5%): Completeness and
organization of the portfolio, along with the clarity and professionalism
in the final presentation of learnings.
