Q.2 Answer the following: (3x4=12)
a. Which drugs are used as preanaesthetic medication? Explain its purpose individually.
b. Classify anti histaminic drugs. Write therapeutic uses and adverse effects of levocetrizine.
c. Define antitussive, expectorants and mucolytic agents giving suitable examples. Write
therapeutic uses of mucolytic agents.

a. Write the mechanism of action, therapeutic uses and adverse effects of phenytoin. Write in brief
management of status epilepticus.
