"My Community, My Voice: A Fun and Creative Campaign"
Overview:
This performance task is designed for Grade 4 learners (around 9 years old) in the
Philippines to develop their skills in producing written texts with a clear introduction,
body, and conclusion. They will also learn to express their ideas appropriately, using
age-appropriate, gender-responsive, and culture-sensitive language. Additionally, they
will learn to use non-verbal cues to enhance clarity, context, and meaning. The
activity will be a multimedia campaign creation that promotes a positive change in
their community.
Learning Competencies:

Activity Description:
Task: Create a Multimedia Campaign
Learners will create a multimedia campaign about a positive change they want to see
in their community (e.g., cleanliness, kindness, safety, helping the elderly). They will
prepare a short written speech or script, design a poster or leaflet, and present their
campaign to the class using appropriate non-verbal cues.
Instructions for Pupils:
1. Choose a Campaign Topic:
o Think about your community. What changes would you like to see?
o Examples: "Keep Our Barangay Clean," "Be Kind to Everyone," "Help the
Elderly," or "Plant More Trees."
o Choose a topic that is meaningful to you.
2. Plan Your Campaign:
o Write a short campaign message that includes an introduction (what your
campaign is about), a body (why it is important), and a conclusion (what
you want people to do).
o Ensure your message is age-appropriate, respectful of all genders, and
culturally sensitive.
3. Create a Visual Aid:
o Design a poster or leaflet that visually represents your campaign. Use
drawings, colors, and symbols to make it eye-catching.

o Include your main message on the poster or leaflet.
4. Practice Your Presentation:
o Prepare to present your campaign to the class. Use appropriate non-verbal
cues (like gestures, facial expressions, and body language) to make your
message clear and engaging.
o Practice your speech at home or with a friend to ensure clarity and
confidence.
5. Present to the Class:
o Present your campaign in front of the class. Speak clearly and confidently.
o Use your visual aid to help convey your message.
6. Engage Your Audience:
o After your presentation, ask your classmates what they think about your
campaign. Encourage them to share their thoughts or ask questions.
