Materials: pictures, chart, flashcards, powerpoint presentation

III. Procedure:

A. Preliminary Activities

I lay all my burdens down at your feet.

b. Greetings

Good morning class. Good morning Teacher.

c. Checking of Attendance

If I call your name say Present. Present

Great! There is no absent today.


d. Review
Do you remember our lesson last time? Yes, Teacher.

Last time we learned about Nouns.

What is Noun again? Noun is a name of person, place, thing,

animal and events.

Very Good!

Let’s have a quick activity.

I’ll show you a word then tell me if it is

a. Motivation

Before we start our lesson for today, let us


First sing a song entitled “Action Song”. “Action Song”
Let’s watch the video and do the action. Na, na, na I’m so happy, oh so
happy Sing with me. (2x)
Clap, clap, clap your hands
Stomp. Stomp, stomp your feet
Swing, swing, swing your arms
Dance everybody and sing with me!
Na, na, na I’m so happy, oh so
happy Sing with me. (2x)
Jump, jump, jump around
Touch the sky and touch the ground
Shake, shake, shake your hips
I know a song and it goes like this!
Na, na, na I’m so happy, oh so
happy Sing with me. (2x)

b. Presentation
Today, we will study about the action words.
I have here poem entitled “Play!” Let’s read the poem. “Play!”
I jump, I shake
I dance, I hop
I like to move
I cannot stop.
I scoot and roll
across the floor.
I spin in circles
out the door.
I leap, I skip.
I bounce, I slide.
I swing, I flip.
But I’m still careful!
I don’t trip!
Have you noticed the underlined words
in the poem? Yes, Teacher.
Now let us read the underlined
words in the poem. - jump - shake - dance
- hop - move - scoot
- roll - spin - leap
- skip - bounce - slide
- swing - flip
Those underlined words in the poem tell action.
c. Discussion
I want to introduce you someone. Do you know him? Yes, Teacher! He is
Doraemon. Yes, he is Doreamon.

He will let us use his anywhere door to look at different


places and guess what is inside it.
Are you ready?

Let’s go Doraemon, show us your anywhere door.

The bird is flying.

The girl is eating.

She is brushing her teeth.

The boy is writing.

He is swimming.

The girl is praying.

Those words you have said about the pictures


are action words.
Action words are also called verbs.
Verbs are action words.
Now can you give me other examples
of action words? jump, sing, draw, wash, drink, hop etc.

d. Generalization
What are verbs? Verbs are action words.

E. Application
We’re going to have an exciting activity.
I will group you in to two. I have here an aquarium.
There are 2 sets of fish. In every fish there is a
picture. Tell the action word of each picture assigned
to your group. The group with a fast time wins.
