Ans. Artificial Super Intelligence

Q4. Draw the following:

Fig 9.1, 9.2, 9.3, 9.4, and 9.5

Q5. Extra Questions:

Q1. List the three basic domains of AI.

Ans. The three basic domains of AI are Data, Computer Vision and

Natural Language Processing.

Q2. Name the various fields where AI can be used.

Ans. AI can be used in various fields like Healthcare, Education,

Business, retail, Manufacturing, banking, etc.

Q3. What are the three most important applications of data

domain of AI?
Ans. The three most important applications of data domain of AI are

Image Processing, Voice Recognition and Text Interpretation.

Q6. Some Important Notes:

Q7. Questions and Answers:

Q1. Define the term Artificial Intelligence.

Ans. Artificial Intelligence is a technology, a form of intelligence, and

a field of study that emphasises on the development of machines
that can learn and become intelligent.

Q2. Explain the different types of AI based on functionalities.

Ans. Based on the functionality of AI-based applications, Artificial

Intelligence can be mainly categorized into four types.

1. Reactive Machines:
 These machines can automatically respond to a limited
combination of inputs. They do not have memory-based
learning ability, that is, they do not require memories or any
past experiences to react.

For example: IBM’s Deep Blue is a Reactive Machine that can

see the pieces on a chess board and react to them.

2. Limited Memory:

These machines have learning capabilities and use historical

data to make decisions.

For example: Chatbots, Virtual Assistants and Self Driving Cars.

3. Theory of Mind:

These systems will be able to understand the human’s needs,

emotions, beliefs, and thought process.

To develop these systems, research needs to be done on

artificial emotional intelligence, and other branches of AI.

4. Self-Aware AI:

These machines will be so similar to the human brain that they

will be able to have emotions, needs, beliefs, and desires of
their own.
Q3. Differentiate between ANI, AGI, and ASI.

capabilities.
Q4. Briefly explain the domains of AI.

Ans. The three major domains of AI are

1.Data

2. Computer Vision (CV)

3. Natural Language Processing (NLP)

1. Data: It is the foundation of Artificial Intelligence. AI needs huge

amount of data to train its machine learning algorithms. For this
process, the first step is to collect and clean large amount of
relevant data. This data is then used by AI to analyse and identify
patterns.

2. Computer Vision: It focuses on replicating human vision system in

artificially intelligent machines to enable them to see in the same
way as humans do. The capability of developing the ability to
process, analyse, and recognise images will also allow machines to
capture images and videos in real time, thus understanding the
surroundings.

For example: Self Driving cars

3. Natural Language Processing: It enables computers to analyse,
understand, and generate human language and speech. The aim is
to develop natural language interaction, so that humans can talk to
computers in normal everyday language to perform tasks.

 For example: Siri

Q5. What are the ethical issues covered in development of AI?

Ans. Some of the prominent ethical issues that we face today related
to AI are as follows:

 People are losing their jobs due to automation involving AI

systems.

 Unequal distribution of the wealth created using AI system-

based machines.

 AI systems are not immune to making mistakes and they are

also imperfect.

 AI systems can develop bias towards a race, gender, or ethnicity

through technologies such as face-recognition.
