THE REQUIRED MATERIALS:
Worsted weight yarn, I used Himalaya Dolphin Baby (100%: polyester)
DK weight yarn, I used Alize Cotton Gold (55% cotton/45% acrylic; 100
gr/330m)
DK weight yarn, I used Yarn Art Jeans (55% cotton/45% acrylic; 50
gr/160m)
Himalaya Dolphin Baby No. 80302 (yellow) – body, wings, tail
Alize Cotton Gold No. 83 (pumpkin) - beak, paws
Yarn Art jeans No. 62 (ultra white) - eyes
Yarn Art jeans No. 72 (lilac) - overalls
Yarn Art jeans No. 42 (raspberry) - flower + headband
Gazzal baby cotton (green) - leaves for the headband

2.00 mm and 3.5 mm crochet hook
D=6 mm button (1 pc)
Stuffing material (fiberfill or polyester);
Tapestry needle;
Scissors;
Nylon white thread;
Black thread;
Stitch marker (you may use a yarn strand of contrast color);

NOTE! Yarn consumption, size, and appearance of the toy depend on
crochet density and how you hold the yarn.
The presented toy and clothes are made with V and X look single crochet:
The presented toy is crocheted with V look single crochet:
- The DUCK is crocheted with (yarn over, yarn over) V look single crochet.
- The clothes and decoration are crocheted with yarn under, yarn over –
half X look and yarn over, yarn under – half V look stitch.
The finished duck using the materials stated in this pattern is ~4.5
inches / 11.5 cm if it sits and ~6.5 inches / 16.5 cm in height with the paws.
Make sure you crochet tight enough; otherwise, the stuffing will be
seen through the holes.
Crochet the toy in continuous spirals without a turning chain.

Break yarn, leaving a long tail for sewing the feet to the body.
Draw the yarn tail to the beginning of the work with the tapestry needle.
THE MUZZLE ASSEMBLY
1. Sew the beak:
Attach the beak with pins.
Place the upper part of the beak between rows 8-9 from the top. Stuff the
beak with fiberfill firmly and sew.

2. Sew the eyes:
Mark the position of the eyes with pins.
Insert the tapestry needle to the back of the head, attach the eyes and
draw the needle back.
Press the eye firmly, and tie three knots. Hide the tails inside.
3. Embroider the nostrils with black thread.

4. Embroider the eyebrows with black thread.
Cut two thread strands and place them, as desired.
5. Embroider the whites around the eyes with white thread.
Insert the needle from the place of the wing to hide the knots under it
later.

6. Sew the wings.

7. Sew the tail.

The duck is ready!

Break yarn, secure, and hide the tail.

Sew the button.

THE HEADBAND + DECORATION
FLOWER: Chain 30 and start working in the 3rd chain from hook: 2 dc in
each chain.
Cut, leaving yarn tail 50 cm long. Form the flower, and secure/sew with
a needle. Chain with the remained yarn tail.
I chained 50. Try the headband on the head of the duck. Increase or
decrease the chains. Break yarn, and sew the sides of the headband.

LEAF (make 2): Chain 7, start working in the 2nd chain from hook –
1 sc, 1 dc, (2 dc in 1 chain), 2 dc, 1 sc, ch, 1 sc in the previous chain.
Continue crocheting on the other side of the chain – 2 dc, (2 dc in 1
chain), 1 dc,
1 sc, 1 sl st. Break yarn, and secure. Sew the leaves to the headband.
