Case study
Task Description:
In this case study, you will make a presentation with your team of a maximum of
5 students for a specific topic of your choice in the field of discrete structures
(list is below). Additionally, you will prepare and deliver an oral presentation
accompanied by the slides. The purpose of this task is to develop your skills in
explaining important topics related to discrete structures, as well as enhancing
your presentation skills.

List of topics:
1. Number Theory and Cryptography
2. Induction and Recursion
3. Counting
4. Permutations and Combinations
5. Discrete Probability
6. Boolean Algebra
7. Logic Gates
8. Finite State Machines
Submission:
• Presentation slides Deadline: [25/01/2025].
• Presentation Date: [26-30/01/2025 (The tenth week)].
• Upload your presentation slides via Rafid platform in PDF or
PowerPoint format.

Slides Evaluation (6 marks)


• The slides were completed and uploaded in accordance with the
suggested timeframe. (1 mark)
• The slides are well organized, comprehensive, and clearly written (no
grammatical and spelling errors). (1 mark)
• The structure and flow of the slides were maintained. (1 mark)
• The content was appropriately consistent with the problem of the study
(selected topic). (1 mark)
• Use visuals and bullet points to enhance understanding. (1 mark)
• A reference list was included at the end of your slides. (1 mark)

Speaking Skills and Discussion Evaluation (4 marks)


• Summarize the key points of your proposal. (1 mark)
• Speak clearly and confidently within the time limit. (1 mark)
• Engage the audience. (1 mark)
• Respond well to all questions, give correct answers, and engage in the
discussion. (1 mark)

Presentation Guidelines:
• The presentation should be approximately 5 minutes long.
• Use presentation software like PowerPoint, Keynote, or Google Slides.
• Practice your presentation to ensure it fits within the time limit.
• Be prepared to answer brief questions after your presentation.
