Why IT? What appeals to you about IT? Why do you want a career in IT?

I always have been in contact with IT, since I was a child, I have always been
the person who helped everyone around to fix a computer or to set up a
network. I used different software during my career in teaching and tried to
engage my students in each lesson by using new technologies. My partner is
a Software Developer and each time that he is working on a project I am
above and beyond helping, double-checking code and learning about it.
During my free time, I developed house projects for example using Arduino

and Raspberry Pi. So, I started feeling more and more curious about it and I
studied using platforms like Udemy or Pluralsight. I was captivated by the
industry immediately; I am now seeking to pursue a challenging career
change. As such, I am now entirely invested in pursuing an immediate
career in Cybersecurity, having recently enrolled in a Cybersecurity Skills
Bootcamp with Firebrand.
Similarly, a chance for career development is a necessity as I aspire to
pursue a prolonged career, as noted by my pursuit of continual career
growth.

As you will see from my CV, I have over six years as a teacher, where I have
primarily analysed and strategised to manage, coordinate, and deliver
lessons, sessions and workshops for all ages and ability levels.
Additionally, I consistently liaised with senior management, parents, and
local authorities to encourage all students to reach their full potential.
However, I am now driven by a career in Cybersecurity and believe my
experience within education has provided me with a skill set which can be
immediately and effectively utilised in this innovative position in a new
industry.
Aside from that, I am taking all the necessary steps to thrive in the world of
Cybersecurity. Currently, I am retraining with Firebrand and partaking in a
Skills Bootcamp that includes two certifications in CompTIA Security+ and
CompTIA CYSA+, as well as an extensive amount of vocational practice
across laboratories and workshops. Likewise, I have developed an
understanding of relevant industry software like Python and Nessus, which
will ensure all my work complies with stakeholder satisfaction.
My key personal qualities include excellent communication, precise
organisation, and an ability to think critically. I am also confident in my
capacity to meet deadlines and work beyond the call of duty.
Moreover, I feel my extensive enthusiasm and drive to succeed will enable
me to meet all inherent targets immediately to deliver both client and
contractual satisfaction in Cybersecurity.
