FINAL YEAR DESIGN PROJECTS (FYDP) FRAMEWORK

FOR

B.Sc. COMPUTER SYSTEMS ENGINEERING

1. Each M.Sc./M.S/Ph.D. faculty member will offer projects.
2. The department will display the list of projects offered on the department’s notice board and the
department’s website.
3. STUDENT’S PROJECT GROUP SIZE
Each FYPD group will consist of a maximum of two students. The Chairperson may allow for a
third member on the recommendations of the FYDP coordinator and FYDP supervisor,
considering the nature of the project, resources, availability of expertise, or some unavoidable
circumstances.

The following timeline will be observed for the FYDP:

6. INSTRUCTIONS
a) Final-year students will discuss the FYDP topics they are interested in with the faculty
members. After the titles of FYDP are finalized, a list will be displayed on the notice board/website.
b) Students will complete the project proposal form per the instructions provided on the form and
get it signed by the concerned advisor, FYDP coordinator, and the Chairperson.
c) Each FYDP group should hold, at least, one weekly meeting with their advisor.
d) FYDP grading/marks will be awarded per FYDP Rubrics based on the following criteria:
e) In the 7th Semester, the FYDP grading criteria will be as follows:
a. Mid-Semester FYDP Proposal Defence before FYDPEC – 25%
b. End-Semester Presentation to the Supervisor 25%.
f) In the 8th Semester, the FYDP grading criteria will be:
a. End-semester presentation to the Supervisor and the FYDP Evaluation Committee – 25%
b. FYDP Report and Demo to the Supervisor and the External Examiner – 25%
