Answer the following questions in 3 to 5 sentences each.
I. Relate the literal meaning of each of the characteristics of the Eucharist in
any aspect of your life.
1. It is a sacred meal. What does a meal mean to you? How important is
it?
A meal is a group of food I take three times a day. It is full of
healthy food that helps my body be strong. In this way, I’m able to
overcome anything without being sick. I will be able to redeem myself
from tiredness once I’ve taken my meal.
2. It is the Real Presence of Jesus. What does someone’s presence mean
to you? How do you want to be with someone you need?
Someone’s presence can mean calmness, peace, and comfort to
me. These are the things I feel, especially from the people close to me
who love me. I want to be their peace and comfort too, the same way
they are to me.
3. It is the Memorial of His Passion and Death. What is the most
significant memory or event that happened in your life? How does it
affect your present?
The latest significant event that happened in my life was when
COVID-19 hit the Philippines, and some of the people I love contracted it.
It affected my present because that experience made me a person who is
vocal about others’ worth to me. I was once scared I’d lose them, so I
make it a habit to tell people how important they are to me and how loved
they are by me.
II. Upon reflecting your answers above, how do you appreciate what Jesus did
when He instituted the Sacrament of the Holy Eucharist?
I appreciate what Jesus did when He instituted the Sacrament of the
Holy Eucharist by identifying and living the purpose of the said Sacrament.
My answers above tell me that I should be more thankful to God because He
doesn’t neglect me. He is my peace and comfort whenever my days are
blue. I know that everything will be all right because I have Him. He is my
strength that will never be gone.
