What is internet?
The internet is a vast system that connects computers and devices all over
the world. It works like a big digital highway where information travels
between these devices. Here’s a simple breakdown:

1. Global Network: The internet is a massive network that links

computers and devices across the entire world. It uses
cables, satellites, and wireless signals to connect different
parts of the globe.
2. Data Transmission: It transmits data through small packets
of information. When you send an email or load a webpage,
your data is broken into these packets, sent across the
network, and then reassembled at its destination.
3. Websites and Apps: The internet is home to countless
websites and applications. Websites are like digital pages
you visit, while apps are programs you use on your devices,
like social media apps or online games.
4. Communication Tools: It includes tools for communication,
such as email, instant messaging, video calls, and forums,
allowing people to interact in real-time or asynchronously.
5. Information Access: You can access a vast amount of
information, from news articles and educational content to
entertainment and scientific research.
6. Online Services: It supports various online services like
banking, shopping, streaming videos, and cloud storage,
making many everyday tasks more convenient.
7. Interactivity: The internet allows for interactive experiences,
such as participating in online communities, contributing to
wikis, and using interactive educational tools.

What is www?
The World Wide Web (WWW) is a system of interlinked
documents and resources that you access via the internet. Here’s
a simple explanation:

1. Web Pages: The web consists of websites made up of web

pages. Each page can contain text, images, videos, and links
to other pages.
2. Web Browsers: You use web browsers (like Chrome, Firefox,
or Safari) to view and navigate these web pages. When you
type a web address (URL) into the browser, it retrieves and
displays the page.
3. Hyperlinks: Web pages are connected to each other
through hyperlinks. Clicking a link on one page takes you to
another page, which might be on the same site or a different
one.
4. Servers and Clients: Web pages are stored on servers, which
are powerful computers that host the content. Your
computer or device acts as a client, requesting and
displaying the pages from the servers.
5. HTTP and HTTPS: The web uses protocols like HTTP
(Hypertext Transfer Protocol) and HTTPS (HTTP Secure) to
transfer data between your browser and the web servers
securely.
