Q: When and where will I receive the Volunteer Schedule?
A: Please be patient! Celine will send it through the Teams Channel
within a few days.

Q: When and where can I pick up my volunteer shirt?


A: When you check in with your Team Lead on the day of orientation
Note: You will not receive a new pink volunteer shirt if you have
previously volunteered

Q: When will I find out what my volunteer role is?


A: You will be assigned a volunteer role by your Team Lead on the
day of, based on availability and interest.

Q: How do I cancel my volunteer shift?

Decoding Room Locations
Kitchener – Doon: e.g., 1C9 & Waterloo – 1F07
The first digit is the floor level, the letter relates to the wing within the
campus, and the last digits in these particular examples are the room
numbers.

Cambridge – Fountain: e.g., A1326


A is the building, the first digit is the floor level, and the last three
digits in this particular example are the room number.

Guelph: e.g., D18


D is the wing within the campus, and the last two digits in this
particular example are the room number.

Brantford and Downtown Kitchener: e.g., 013 or 145


If there is a 0 in front of the number, that means the room is on the
lower level
If the code starts with a 1, the room is on floor one. If the code begins
with a 2, the room is on floor two.

Milton: e.g. 103


Room locations that start with a 1 are on floor 1. Room locations that
start with a 2 are on floor 2.

Campus Welcome Day (CWD)


First year students attend a drop-in Welcome Day at their designated
campus
Engage with various campus services, collect ONE Card, tour the
campus, meet community members, collect swag

Workshops & Webinars


Found on the SSP - online and on-campus activities to help first year
students transition into Conestoga
College – educational workshops, drop-in sessions, presentations
Students to learn more about college services, build community and
connections, and plan for their future

Social Events

Mandatory one-hour, self-directed online course that focuses on the

Your pink Volunteer T-Shirt (only if you have previously volunteered before)

Reusable water bottle

You keep your phone on you on vibrate for emergencies

No sweat pants please!

A bag to store your personal items (note that there will be a volunteer room, but it will not
be locked)
