5.1 Conclusion
An internship course of BBM has its own significance, which makes the students to complete
graduation in real world exposures of theoretical knowledge. Internship provides the opportunity
of gaining the practical knowledge and observing the real application of theoretical aspects.
Some facts about the privacy and systematic approach of the organization were revealed.
Internship has helped to explore the fundamentals of banking system.
The duration of 2 month for me has been a massive achievement and enlightening of deep
knowledge of banking industries. This has outgrown me as a knowledge-building capability in
the fields of economics, banking, personality development, communication, problem-solving,
and a lot more. The overall functions and operation of the bank were envisioned with the curious
eyes of the internee which led to learn and nourish the prior knowledge as well as to develop
some of it to internee benefit. The internee also learned to be in a class and learned personality
development techniques to reach the customers and deal with them. The different approaches
styles were used to convince people and give them an idea of to think differently about oneself.
This report was prepared with a clear and deep understanding of the functions of the organization
including a brief description of its products, services, responsibilities as an employee, and much
more.
This report is based on the internship done in Nepal Investment Mega Bank Limited for a period
of 2 month. During the internship period, the internee worked in the field of mobile banking,
internet banking, branchless banking, and settlement of disputes It was great opportunity for the
internee to have a practical knowledge of banking activities in a real environment. The internee
got the chance to socialize with people and found that employee of NIMB are highly committed
to serve the customers and deal with their issues. The internship gave an opportunity to interact,
learn and share ideas with the Megabank in different fields which broadened my thinking and
practical skills on the managerial procedure of card management system and other technological
improvements.
5.2 Lesson learnt
The internship period really proved to be a great and knowledgeable experience getting
acquainted with the real-life scenario of the working environment. The internee is able to learn
various new knowledge as well as the practical implications of various theoretical knowledge
after the two-month internship exposure. All the lessons learnt can’t be express in the language
form because much knowledge is related to the realization rather than the new knowledge.
The most important lesson that internee have learnt during her intern period is the corporate
working environment which is the basic lesson for intern’s career development. Internship have
provided me with many opportunities to gain knowledge regarding the banking sector it has
provided internee with so much knowledge about financial sector. Before that internee did not
know much about the banking procedures.
Some of the knowledge gain during the internship program are stated below:
I. To develop communication skill.
II. To be punctual and be regular at the work.
III. Internee have got ideas on how to deal with the customers.
IV. To be polite with the employee of the organization.
V. Learned to use an office system, machine and equipment like a photocopy machine,
scanner, printer and cheque writer.
VI. Maintain discipline in the work place.
VII. Conversion of theoretical knowledge acquired in the course of study into real life
working practice.
VIII. Development of the managerial and communication skills to tackle the real-life
situations.
IX. Real-life Working is a very pressurized task and hence cool and calm mind is essential
for success.
X. No practical theory can be developed regarding how to deal with customer because
customers are different in their perception and attitudes.
