Nature of Mock Drill: Heat Stroke
Brief scenario of Mock Drill: A Mock drill exercise was carried out on 13.05.2019 in General shift at 10:48 Hrs. The exercise was
carried out to ascertain the response time of emergency services and evacuation process. Mr. BIPIN PRADHAN, Gate pass No :
TSSEZL/00134/0419, Age 48, during working at ERECTION SITE at SEZ main gate complex got exposed to direct sun light , immediately
Mr. Ashok Das (Project Manager – M/s ippl) and Mr. Sambit (Safety officer ippl) informed to First-aid centre and subsequently to the Security
control room. Mr. Dipak Ghosh(GM Infra) Mr. Rajendra Gouda Mr. Kalinga Mohanty ( Sr Manager Electrical ) were present at site. All worker
were called and gathered at Assembly Point. As the I.P was shifted to first-aid centre by M/S IPPL company vehicle. Ambulance reached at spot
well in time and started emergency activity taken. At first aid centre Doctor checked the I.P .
Mr. Dipak Ghosh, given the all clear signal after brief discussion on mock drill purpose and return of I.P & safety person from first Aid Center.

with 20 worker of M/s IPPL.

Positive Points :
1. Workers reaction to- words incident is good and co-operative
2. Response of site engineer and site in-charge was good & co-operative
3. 100% of site workers gathered at one place within 15 minutes of post alarm.
Areas for Improvements / Recommendations :
1. ORS & Glucose packets to keep at site with informed to all workers .
2. House keeping to be imparted to site.
3. 2S(Sorting & systemizing of materials) to be implemented at site.
4. Workers to be provided cold drinking water during summer time.
