REGISTRATION PROCESS FOR E-MARKING

Eligibility Criteria:
To apply for e-marking, you must be a registered and verified tutor of Allama Iqbal Open
University (AIOU).
Step by Step Registration Guide

Step 1: Access the Online Portal


✓ Visit ems.aiou.edu.pk
✓ Click on register, and you will land at the Tutor Management System (TMS) page.
✓ Log in using your CNIC (without dashes) as the username.
✓ If you have forgotten your password, click "Forgot Password", enter your registered
email, and follow the instructions to reset it. In case of difficulties, contact your
concerned regional center of AIOU.
✓ If your tutor portal has a warning of “Not eligible/ Not Verified” or you have banking
details missing, please contact your concerned regional center of AIOU
Step 2: Apply for E-Marking
✓ Once logged in, locate the "Apply for E-Marking" option (highlighted or flashing in Red).
✓ Click on it to begin the application process.

Step 3: Camera Access (Mandatory)


✓ The system will request camera access for identity verification. You must allow access
to proceed.
Photo Guidelines:
✓ Take a clear passport style photo with a blank background.
✓ Avoid low light settings, outdoor backgrounds, full-body shots, or images taken under
trees.
Step 4: Complete the Application Form
✓ Fill out the required details accurately.
✓ Upload clear scanned copies of necessary documents (e.g., CNIC front & back).
✓ Use compressed PDF files to ensure smooth processing.
✓ Avoid submitting unnecessary documents or low-quality images (e.g., photos taken on
a bed, in hand, or as videos).
Step 5: Final Submission
✓ After uploading your CNIC and required documents, click "Sign Up" to submit your
application.
✓ You will receive an email confirmation acknowledging your submission.

Next Steps:
✓ Your application will be reviewed, and you will receive an email regarding approval,
rejection, or requests for additional information.
