Our Quotation includes (door to door service)
One free delivery and collection of cartons from within the M25 area. For delivery outside of the M25 please see Delivery and
Collection of cartons. Shipment in our shared container service to arrival destination port, customs clearance and delivery to
door of mainland residence, not above 1st floor. All quotations assume good access at both collection and delivery addresses.
Please note that depending on the country you are moving to a minimum charge may apply if you decide to reduce your
package/volume count from your estimate above.
Our Quotation excludes
All estimates exclude abnormal, heavy or awkward items unless otherwise stated above, parking permits, charges or
associated fees at origin or destination addresses, quarantine, customs security fees, duties, taxes, X-ray and inspections or
any other fees or taxes payable to government bodies if applicable. Please see Destination section on Page 3 for more details.
Door to port shipments exclude all charges from arrival of shipment at destination port.

Shipment Protection -
Every precaution is taken to ensure that your goods arrive safely and in the same condition as they were when they left the UK.
Nevertheless, it is advisable to cover your effects for a sum equivalent to the full replacement cost at destination. Our Shipment
Protection cover is approved and recommended by the BAR (British Association of Removers), and has been arranged with leading
insurers. The protection starts at the time of collection and up until delivery to residence or store (if goods go into storage an
extension to cover your goods whilst in store is required).
Shipment Protection cover against all risks of loss or damage is available at a rate of 5% of the value declared on the valuation
form. Please allow value at destination.
In the event of a claim arising we reserve the right to charge a claim handling fee of £50 to cover our administrative costs. Subject to
our Terms and Conditions as attached. Please note that in the event you decline our Shipment Protection cover we will rely upon
Limited Liability (clause 9.2).
Packing Information and Advice
For owner packed goods we can provide export strength cartons and bubble wrap free of charge, this is upon request; however you
can also pack your own belonging into your own suitcases, bags etc. For unusual shaped items we can provide blanket wrapping,
and for fragile items such as TV’s, Mirrors, Paintings etc a specialist wood casing at an additional cost. Packing is really a matter of
common sense. Place all fragile items in the middle of your boxes, and protect them by clothing or wrapping materials, don’t use
large cartons for lots of heavy objects as the boxes will not support the weight, we supply Book Cartons for heavy items.
Marking & Sealing Cartons / Suitcases
Please note that all cartons and packages should be marked with a pen. We do not recommend sticky labels or any types of tied on
labels as there is a risk that they can come off. If you do not want your packages permanently marked you can either wrap your
package then mark them, or we can provide a paint marker which can be removed from most materials with nail polish remover. All
your packages should be securely sealed by the owner of the goods. However any types of locks placed on your packages can be
re-opened or broken by customs, quarantine or security personnel for inspection, this is unfortunately out of our control.

From receipt of your goods at our warehouse they will be called forward for shipment into our next shared container service.

Shipment Tracking
Shipment details including vessel details, estimated date of arrival, container number, destination port agents contact details, will
be sent to you once your items have been despatched.
Documentation
Documentation will be supplied by us but must be returned before your goods can be freighted. This must be completed by owner
or receiver of the goods. All Air Freight consignments require a copy of your passport before they can leave the UK.
**IMPORTANT NOTE: All customs documents and passport copies/visas need to be clear and fully legible for customs to accept
for clearance formalities, if these prove difficult to read then you will be required to recomplete and submit any unclear documents

If You Are Not Going To Be In The Country Of Destination
Please note that in many countries the owner of the goods must be present at the destination prior to the arrival of the goods in
order to complete customs clearance. Some countries do allow you to send goods ahead of you arriving in the country, please
check with our office regarding the countries that allow this and ask for our Instruction Sheet for all documents required.
Destination
When your goods arrive in your destination country it is of the utmost importance that the Customs documentation and the
handling of your removal is controlled by a local expert in International Removals. At PSS we are very careful about our destination
partners most of whom we have worked with for many years. We select our partners based on the performance of the individual
depot rather than by Company name. All our partners are aware that any complaint or reduction in service could result in them
losing all our business which is substantial. This, we are pleased to say, ensures that you will receive the very best service
available both at destination as well as here in the UK. Rates exclude customs security fees, duties, taxes, X-ray and inspections,
customs or administration/processing charges or any other fees or taxes payable if applicable. Estimates to Australia or New
Zealand exclude any Government department quarantine/MPI fees and associated handling /transport costs including cleaning,
treatment or fumigation of any kind if ordered. In the case of New Zealand, an Import Transaction Fee (ITF) will apply of
approximately NZ$130 per consignment. Estimates to the USA exclude Chassis Usage Fee / Chassis Utilisation Charge
determined at destination and where applicable the charges are payable by the customer to our destination agents directly; US
shipments are based on a maximum density of 6.5lb per cubic foot, anything in excess of this may incur additional fees at
destination. Estimates to Canada exclude the E-Manifest / ACI filing fee and any premium location customs fees. Estimates to the
Indian Subcontinent exclude port liner/CFS charges and any associated additional port fees. Estimates to South Africa exclude
bonding document charges and cargo dues which are payable by the owner to South African Customs upon arrival. Estimates to
Cyprus and UAE exclude Destination Terminal Handling Charge / Delivery Order fee. Please remember to allow between 1 and 2
weeks for Customs & Quarantine/MPI clearances (this can vary depending on port and Country of destination).
We list below some guide costs for a few selected countries, if you have any questions or the country you are going to is not listed
below please contact your co-ordinator as they will have all the information at hand to advise you.
Australia - DAWR A$88- A$165 per consignment based on not exceeding 35 cubic feet volume. Subject to any additional special
treatment.
New Zealand - MPI fees NZ$210 but this is dependent on the size of the shipment and how many items inspected. Additional ITF
fee of NZ$130 is charged.
South Africa - Cargo dues R550, plus a Customs exam on GRP R150 per consignment.
USA - chassis fee min USD$35.00 (additional transport to and from container terminals) and ISF.
Storage
If you are not going to be travelling to your destination country straight after you have sent your cartons with PSS, we can offer very
competitive rates to store your goods and delay your shipment so that you will be in your destination country when your goods
arrive.
Payment
On booking your shipment we require a deposit of £50 to secure your shipment, this is non refundable. Full payment is required
before goods can be called forward for shipment. Please note that the final invoice will be based on the total volume/weight
collected.

Financial Security
As members of BAR, we are covered by the BAR advance payment guarantee scheme. This scheme is designed to protect you
and guarantees your payment, and in the unlikely event of liquidation the BAR would ensure that all of the services you had paid
for were professionally completed at no additional cost. Further details of the BAR scheme are available on request.
Terms and Conditions
All business transacted is subject to our Standard Trading conditions which can be found on our website. The conditions are in
