A Time For Justice hand out
The film ‘A Time for Justice’ provides an overview of key events in the modern movement for
African-American Equality.
It begins at the grave of Jimmie Lee Jackson (a civil rights protestor who was shot by a state
trooper when participating in a peaceful protest), then goes back in time to set the context of
segregation and tell the story of the murder of Emmett Till. From there, the events are shown in
the order in which they happened.
The film talks about three important events;
1. The murder of Emmett Till
2. The Montgomery Bus Boycott
3. The Little Rock Central High School incident
