Admission Officer

Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila

General Luna corner Muralla St., Intramuros

Metro Manila, Philippines 1002

Dear Members of the Board of Regents and Atty. Domingo Y. Reyes Jr

I am Pauline Nicole Tauyan Liwag, a senior high school student from Arayat Holy Child
Educational Foundation, Inc. in Arayat Pampanga, humbly seeking reconsideration for
admission to Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila. I have been a consistent honor
student since kindergarten, with a 95% GWA in Grade 11 and 95% GWA in Grade 12 (1st
Sem). I understand that numbers alone may not always define one’s worthiness. What
motivates me to apply to your esteemed institution is not just my academic record, but
my strong desire to improve my future and help my family’s situation.

I dream of becoming a lawyer, and I believe that PLM is the best place to start this
journey because of its commitment to academic excellence and public service. I
originally applied for Public Administration as it aligns with my pre-law goals, but I am
wholeheartedly open to any available program where I can grow and contribute as a
student.

Despite not being a Manila resident, I have family living in the city who are fully willing to
support me if I am given the opportunity to study at PLM. Coming from a financially
struggling household, I deeply understand the value of free, high-quality education. PLM
is my top choice not only for its academic reputation but also for its mission to
empower students like me who are determined to uplift their families and communities
through education.

While I’m submitting this letter digitally instead of a handwritten one, I hope you
understand that every word comes from the heart. My desire to study at PLM is genuine
because I believe this is the best place for me to grow both academically and personally.

Thank you for taking the time to consider my request. I would be truly grateful for the
chance to show that I can contribute to and grow within the PLM community.

Sincerely,
PAULINE NICOLE TAUYAN LIWAG
