ACKNOWLEDGEMENT

With regardful memories...

In everyone's life, the day arises when one has to shape feelings in words. Sometimes, the
words become unable to express the emotions of the mind because the feelings of the heart
are beyond the reach of the words. When I came to complete this manuscript, so many
memories rushed through my mind, and I am grateful to those who encouraged and helped
me at various stages of this research. It gives me immense pleasure to record my feelings at
this place.

Most importantly, it is with pleasure that I record my deep gratitude to IIAST, Integral
University, Lucknow Campus, for all the facility and help. It makes me immensely proud and
honoured to be a student of this legendary and prestigious University.

I avail this opportunity to express my deep sense of gratitude and indebtedness to my advisor,
Dr. Abhineet, Assistant Professor, Department of Agriculture, Integral University, for this
dissertation work for this valuable suggestion, keen supervision, sagacious guidance,
inspiring and constructive criticism throughout the present investigation up to finalizing the
manuscript of the thesis.
I am incredibly grateful to Prof. Mohd. Haris Siddiqui, Dean & Director & Prof. Saba
Siddiqui, Head of Department, Faculty of Agricultural Science & Technology, Integral
University, Lucknow, for inspiring guidance, generous suggestions and constructive approach
for providing all facilities needed to complete the research.

My special thanks should also go to my research co-guide, Mr. Nadeem Khan, Assistant
Professor, for his continuous support, guidance, cooperation, and encouragement, for
facilitating all the requirements, and for going out of his way. He has taught me another
aspect of life: “Goodness can never be defined, and good human beings can never be denied”.
His constant guidance, cooperation, motivation and support have kept me going. I owe a lot
of gratitude to her for always being there for me, and I feel privileged to be associated with
someone like her during my Research work.

I am sincerely grateful to members of the advisory committee Dr. Akansha Singh (Assistant
Professor), Dr. Khalid Habib (Associate Professor), Dr. Malik Mobeen Ahmad (Associate
Professor), Faculty of Agricultural Science & Technology, for their constant encouragement
and moral boost-up during experimentation.
Special thanks to fellow mates, Sarthak Patel, Yashi Gupta, and Ruchi Yadav, for always
standing by my side and sharing a great relationship as compassionate friends. I always
cherish the warmth they show.
My special vote of thanks to all the faculty members, Dr. Shipra Yadav, Dr. Ambreesh
Singh Yadav, and other teachers, field instructors and lab staff whose teaching and help at
different stages of education have made it possible for me to see this day. Because of their
kindness, I feel I was able to reach a stage where I could write this thesis. Finally, I thank the
librarian sir and other staff of Agriculture for their cooperation.
