A Easter, today’s readings remind us that it is not easy to live as

authentic disciples of Christ. Trusting in the Lord’s grace, we
will not be afraid, for “our help is in the name of the Lord who made
heaven and earth.”
As devotees of the Sacred Heart, we know that we are called to
share in his sufferings and offer our troubles and crosses in atone-
ment for our own sins and the sins of all other human beings. The Lord, who will not leave
unrewarded even a glass of water given out of love for him, will surely reward with immense
generosity any suffering we may endure because of our allegiance to him.
