A) Drama:- The Merchant of Venice:- Bring out the theme of appearance and reality in the play.
B) Poetry:- With reference to the poem ‘Daffodils’, how is Wordsworth a poet of nature?
C) Prose:- In the story ‘An Angel in disguise’ how has the author shown that selflessness and compassion bring
happiness not only for others but also for oneself?

2. Material required:-

(b) Inter-leave comment sheets
(c) Brown Paper (to cover the file)
(d) Bold Marker (Black)
(e) Black Gel Pen

3. Project File will be covered with brown paper and the following details will be mentioned on it in Capital letters
(a) Name of SCHOOL (on top right hand side)
(b) English Project (in the centre) + SESSION (2023-24)
(c) Name/Class/Section/Roll no. (to be written at the bottom on the right hand side)

4. Inside the file –


(a) Pg 1-(same details to be mentioned as on the outer cover)
(b) Pg 2- INDEX (under the heading of the index will be written the details given in point 1. i.e. contents)
(c) Pg 3- onwards will be the matter covered as given in the contents
(d) Sequence of placement of content sheet should be similar to the sequence as mentioned above in
point 1.
(e) Pictures can be pasted. (only in black &white)

Essay Writing
1. Narrate an incident from your own experience when you helped a friend who was in trouble. Explain what
happened. What did you do to make the situation better?
2. You had booked a ticket on an early morning train. However, you woke up late and missed it. You then decided
to run to catch a bus to the next station where you hoped to catch up with the train. Narrate the entire event,how you felt,
the effort you made and how you finally caught the train. What did you learn from this stressful experience?

Letter Writing
1. Your uncle has promised to give you a gift of Rupees 1,000/-. Write a letter thanking him for the offer, tell him
how you plan to spend the money and why you wish to spend it in this way.
2. The children in your neighbourhood are forced to play on the street for want of a proper play area. Write a letter
to the Editor of a popular newspaper, pointing out the need for a playground in your neighborhood.

Notice and Email Writing


1. You are the President of the literary club at your school. You are organizing a talk by your favourite author at
school. Make a notice informing all students and inviting them to it.
2. Write an email to the Principal of your school seeking permission to display the notice and requesting certain
necessary arrangements for the event.
Bio project
Make a project on any one of the following topic:
