The three pie charts below show the changes in annual spending by a particular UK

school in 1981, 1991 and 2001.

The pie charts illustrated the expenses of a UK school in three different years, from 1981
to 2001.
Look at the charts; it’s easy to see that the teachers’ salaries took up the highest
percentage of the school spending in all three years. On the contrary, insurance was the
smallest pay proportion over 20 years
In 1981, teachers’ salaries made up 40% of the total. This figure rose significantly to 50%
in 1991; however, it saw a slight fall to 45% in 2001. The proportion of other workers’
salaries experienced a dramatical decline from 28% in 1981 to 15% in 2001.
The percentage of furniture and equipment increased considerately. In 1981, it took up
15% of spending and there was a rapid decrease to 5% in 1991, but finally it reached a
peak in 2001at 23%. In 1981, insurance stood at only 2%. However, it increased slowly
to 8% in 200. The proportion of resources fluctuated.
