Lesson 5 Lesson-End Project

Performing Ether Transactions in Metamask


Project Agenda: To perform an Ethereum transaction on a test network

Description: You are a Blockchain expert in a Production company and have been tasked with
paying the raw material vendor

Tools required: Ubuntu, Web browser, Metamask, Sepolia Faucet

Expected Deliverables: To simulate a transaction worth certain Ethers on the Ethereum test
network

Steps to be followed:

1. Connecting the Metamask account to Sepolia and creation of new accounts

2. Performing an Ether transaction from one Metamask account to another

Step 1: Connecting Metamask account to Sepolia and creation of new accounts

1.1 Open your Metamask account and switch to the Sepolia test network
1.2 Click on account icon and click on button Add Account or Hardware Wallet
1.3 Click on Add a new account, name it Production Company and click on Create button to
confirm the creation of account

1.4 Following step 1.3, add a new account as Raw Material Vendor
1.5 Use link (https://cloud.google.com/application/web3/faucet/ethereum/sepolia) to
requesting test ethers in Production Company sepolia account by providing address of
account. Copy the Production Company sepolia account address

Note: Login to your google account and use the link


Step 2: Performing an Ether Transaction from One Metamask Account to Another

2.1 Click on Send and choose Raw Material Vendor as Recipient of Ethers
2.2 Mention the amount 0.01, analyze the gas fee and click on Next button
2.3 Check final Fee and click on Confirm button
2.4 The transaction deduction can be analyzed in Metamask
2.5 Check the balance of Raw Material Vendor for Sepolia ethers

2.6 Click on View on Explorer to check the transaction on seplolia.etherscan.io


2.7 Get the other account address from Metamask and search on URL
(https://sepolia.etherscan.io/) for transaction history
