An event in SRIJAN’25 featuring a case study

challenge in the engineering domain, where
participants tackle a real-world problem requiring
analytical thinking, technical expertise, and innovative
problem-solving. Participants must assess the given
scenario, consider constraints such as cost,
efficiency, sustainability, and feasibility, and propose
a well-structured solution.

DEATH RACE 02
Death Race, organized by Team XLR8 of the Jadavpur
University Motorsports Club at Srijan’25, is a high-octane
RC car competition with three rounds. Teams start by
submitting a design abstract, followed by technical
inspection and a speed-based grid placement race. The
final round is a 120-meter obstacle race with challenges
like stop-go signals, steep inclines, pendulum hammers, and
water pools, testing speed, durability, and precision. With a
₹35,000 prize pool, the event rewards speed, design,
creativity, and people’s choice.

03 Rook ‘n’ Roll

Welcome to Rook 'n' Roll, the ultimate battleground of wits
and precision, hosted by SRIJAN’25 in collaboration with
Jadavpur University Chess Club (JUCC). Across two days of
intense Swiss and Round Robin matchups, you’ll experience
nail-biting checkmates, nerve-wracking sacrifices, and
unpredictable comebacks. Every blunder could be your
downfall, every gambit could lead to immortality. Do you

Entropy is the annual case study competition that

ISHRAE JU Students’ Chapter organises at SRIJAN.
It’s a one of a kind brain storming competition that
focuses on using our academic knowledge in real
world problems to get an unique solution.

Lord Of The Ring 05

Lord of the Ring is a robotic competition by the IoT
Applications Club (IoTA), J.U., for SRIJAN 2025, featuring RC
robots battling in wired and wireless categories. Bots compete
in a circular ring, earning points by pushing opponents out, with
designated zones offering specific points. The event includes
three one-minute knockout rounds, and the first team to win
two rounds moves closer to the "Lord of the Ring" title. It's a
thrilling test of skill and strength!

06 Bridge the Gap

"Bridge the Gap" challenges participants to build miniature
bridges using wooden planks, popsicle sticks, and nails,
applying load transfer and structural analysis principles. The
competition fosters engineering skills, creativity, teamwork,
and problem-solving. Teams design, test, and refine their
bridges within a time limit, with judging based on load
capacity, structural integrity, and aesthetics. Participants
must balance innovation with practicality, showcasing their
ability to translate theory into effective designs. Winning
designs demonstrate both strength and visual appeal.

Sherlocked is a cryptic, puzzle-based murder mystery
challenge that tests digital forensics and problem-
solving skills.
Prelims: A one-hour round with three tough puzzles
to solve a murder. The fastest 20 teams advance.
Final Round: A two-hour showdown with increasingly
complex levels to unravel a larger conspiracy. The
quickest team to finish wins.
Stay sharp, think fast, and crack the codes—only the
smartest will win!

Pass The Baton 08

Pass the Baton is a competitive programming contest
with a relay race twist.
Prelims: An online ICPC-style round to select top
teams.
Finals: A 2-hour offline event with four 30-minute slots.
Teams solve three questions, switching members after
each slot to continue their teammate’s code. This
event tests algorithmic skills, quick thinking, and
teamwork in a fresh and exciting format.

and Women. They have to climb as high as they can,
and their scores are based on height and time.
