I.Introduction s Background
1. Project Profile
The JPDM Manuf Business Solution Co. is a manufacturing enterprise
located in Blk 2,
MLSI #514, Maguyam Rd., Maguyam, Silang, Cavite, engaged in the
production of foods, cosmetics, and household products. With an

Contact Number: 09563912767
Employees: 60 personnel
Operating Schedule: 8 hours per day
The facility has a 3000 m² lot with a 2092 m² floor area and is equipped with
essential amenities, including 10 parking slots and 8 lavatories (split between
male and female comfort rooms). The facility's waste streams are primarily
directed to the public drainage canal after treatment via an on-site septic tank
system, ensuring minimal environmental impact.
This report presents a detailed assessment of the facility’s waste management
practices, emissions control, and adherence to the Laguna Lake
Development Authority (LLDA) regulations.
II. Waste Characteristics
The JPDM Manuf Business Solution Co. generates various waste streams
associated with its manufacturing operations. The major waste characteristics
are as follows:
1. Emissions:
The company will implement measures to control air emissions from the
manufacturing process. These emissions primarily result from the
handling of raw materials and energy use in production.
Regular monitoring of air quality will be conducted, and pollution control
technologies will be applied to ensure compliance with LLDA's air quality
standards.
2. Effluent:
Wastewater from the production process, sanitation, and cleaning
activities will be treated in an on-site septic tank system.
The treated effluent will be hauled annually by a DENR-accredited hauler
for proper disposal, ensuring that wastewater discharge meets the
standards set by the LLDA and other regulatory bodies.
3. Solid Waste:
The facility will generate solid waste, including waste packaging
materials, scraps from production, and general refuse.
Waste segregation will be employed to separate recyclable and
non-recyclable materials.
Recyclable materials will be sent to recycling centers, while non-
recyclable waste will be disposed of through an authorized waste
management service.
4. Hazardous Waste:
Hazardous wastes, such as chemicals and materials used in the
production of cosmetics and food products, will be managed in
strict compliance with DENR guidelines.
These materials will be stored in secure areas and disposed of
by licensed hazardous waste management contractors to
prevent environmental contamination.
III. Waste Management System
The JPDM Manuf Business Solution Co. has established a comprehensive
waste management system to minimize environmental impact and comply
with LLDA regulations.
1. Wastewater Management (Effluent):
Septic Tank System: All wastewater generated by the facility will be
directed to an on-site septic tank. The septic system will be properly
maintained and periodically inspected to ensure compliance with
LLDA’s effluent standards.
Effluent Disposal: Once treated, the wastewater will be hauled
annually by a DENR-accredited hauler for proper treatment and
disposal at an accredited facility.
2. Air Emissions Control:
To minimize air pollution, the facility will incorporate air filtration
systems and ventilation technologies into its manufacturing
processes. These systems will
ensure that the air emissions meet the regulatory standards set by LLDA
and DENR.
Emissions will be regularly monitored and assessed to ensure they
do not exceed permissible limits.
3. Solid Waste Management:
The facility will implement a waste segregation program that categorizes
waste into recyclable and non-recyclable materials.
Recyclables (e.g., plastics, paper, metal) will be collected and sent to
authorized recycling facilities.
Non-recyclables will be disposed of through licensed waste haulers
following
Republic Act G003 (Ecological Solid Waste Management Act).
4. Hazardous Waste Management:
Hazardous materials used in production processes will be stored
securely in designated containment areas and properly labeled.
The hazardous waste will be disposed of by licensed and accredited
haulers and treated in compliance with the DENR's Hazardous Waste
Management Regulations.
IV. Source and Management of Water Pollution
1. Water Resources:
The facility sources water from the local water district, ensuring
access to clean, potable water for manufacturing, cleaning, and
drinking purposes.
2. Production of household products:
This amount of water is what is required in the entire lifecycle of
producing various household products this could include
manufacturing, processing, and even
packaging.
3. Water Use in the Facility:
Production Use: Water is used in the manufacturing process,
particularly for mixing, cooling, and cleaning purposes.
Cleaning Use: Water is used for cleaning production areas and
equipment, maintaining hygiene standards.
Drinking Use: Potable water will be provided for the facility's
employees.
3. Water Pollution Management:
Wastewater Treatment: The facility will ensure that all
wastewater undergoes adequate treatment via the septic tank
system to meet LLDA's water quality standards before being
released or hauled offsite.
Water Conservation: Measures will be implemented to reduce water
consumption, including the installation of water-efficient fixtures and
processes to minimize
waste.
Effluent Monitoring: Regular monitoring of wastewater quality will be
conducted to ensure compliance with LLDA's standards for
wastewater discharge into the public drainage system.
4.Wastewater Generation (Daily Consumption):
The facility has the following estimated daily water consumption:
Total Daily Water Consumption: .86 cubic meters/day
o Washing s Cleaning of Equipment: .26 cubic
meters/day
o Domestic Wastewater: .43 cubic meters/day
o Drinking, Gardening, etc.: .09 cubic meters/day
Wastewater Discharge:
The facility discharges zero (0) cubic meters/day of untreated wastewater
into public drainage as all wastewater is contained and treated in the
septic tank system, which is hauled yearly by a DENR-accredited hauler.
V. Compliance with LLDA Regulations
The JPDM Manuf Business Solution Co. has designed its operations to
meet the
regulatory standards set by the Laguna Lake Development Authority
(LLDA), as follows:
1. Effluent Standards: The facility will treat all wastewater via the
septic system, which will be regularly monitored and maintained to
meet LLDA’s effluent standards.
2. Solid Waste Management: Solid waste, including hazardous
materials, will be segregated and managed according to RA G003
(Ecological Solid Waste Management Act) to ensure compliance
with environmental regulations.
3. Water Pollution Prevention: The facility’s water usage will be
optimized, and all treated wastewater will meet LLDA discharge
standards, preventing contamination of nearby water bodies.
