Applications are invited for one position of Young Professional –II (YP-II) purely on
contractual basis under the Bioversity International & CIAT Alliance funded project “Pre-
breeding for genetic enhancement of chilli, beans and peas using crop wild relatives:” at
ICAR- NBPGR, New Delhi. The eligible candidates are requested to send their applications
along with scanned copy of the original documents through email to the PI of the project at

shortlisted candidates will be informed for further details regarding date of interview by email
and over phone. Original documents of the candidates appearing will be verified at a later stage.

Desirable Qualification:
I. Working experience in phenotyping of vegetable crops,
vegetable breeding, molecular breeding & statistical data
analysis
II. Publications in high impact journals
III. Proficiency in computer operations (MS office)
Upper age limit: 45 years on the date of advertisement. Age
limits relaxation: 5 years for SC/ ST/female candidates, upto 10
years for Differently Abled candidates and 3 years for OBC
(non-creamy layer) candidates as per Govt. of India norms

Candidates are requested to ensure their eligibility like age, qualification etc. before appearing

Candidates having essential qualification will only be considered for interview.
No TA/DA and official accommodation will be provided for appearing in the interview
The post is purely temporary and co-terminus with the project. The selected candidate has no
right to claim for regularization or absorption whatsoever in ICAR/NBPGR
The decision of Director of the institute will be final and binding in all aspects.
The Director reserves the right to terminate the contract of job as mentioned above, even
before the completion of the project for which no appeal thereof shall be entertained.
Candidates are required to send scanned pdf copy of all the relevant certificates/ mark sheets
etc., with an application with full bio-data affixing a passport size photograph on the top. The
originals will be verified at the time of joining.
If any information of the candidate is found to be incorrect or concealing any facts, his/her
candidature to the interview/ selection to the post is liable to be cancelled at any stage.
Emoluments may be paid as per satisfaction of the work by the PI and fund availability by
the funding agency
In case of any disputes, it will be resolved in the jurisdiction of New Delhi only.
