Nampol College of Education, formerly known as Nampol Vocational
Training Centre, has proudly served our community for the past 20
years. Over this time, we have established ourselves as a leading
institution dedicated to providing quality education and training
opportunities.

Currently, we offer teacher training courses aimed at preparing


individuals for fulfilling careers in education. Our programs include:

DIPLOMA IN EARLY CHILDHOOD
EDUCATION – 2 YEARS / 3 YEARS
The Diploma in Early Childhood Education Programme is expected to
provide trainee teachers with an opportunity to acquire key
competences, skills, values and positive attitudes that are useful in
facilitating the learning of the young children. Early Childhood
Education is vital to the development of the young children of the
nation and is not an end in itself but a means to the end.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
Direct Entry – 3 Years Diploma in Early Childhood Education:
Five (5) O’Level Passes at BGCSE or equivalent with Credits (at
Grade C or better) inclusive of English translating to 30 points or
better

The purpose of Diploma in Primary Education is to produce graduate
with knowledge, skills and competences to design and deliver a lesson
that meets the requirements of the curriculum and assess and
evaluate students learning.

CERTIFICATE
PROGRAMMES
CERTIFICATE V IN EARLY CHILDHOOD
EDUCATION – 1 YEAR
An NQCF level 5 programme is designed to prepare early childhood
professionals who have the knowledge and skills to develop the child
in a holistic manner; encompassing the physical, social, cognitive,
creative, emotional and moral development. The qualification
endeavors to prepare professionals who are able to teach and guide
young children, ensure that they are in safe and healthy learning
environments, and maintain responsive relationships with them and
families.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
NCQF Level 4, Certificate IV, or equivalent, with a Credit in at least 3
subjects including English Language. Experience in Pre-school
teaching and Early childhood care will be an added advantage.
Junior Certificate school leavers who are currently teaching in pre-
schools to be admissible to the qualification through RPL
