FIRMWARE LOAD PROCEDURE

Scantech-ID SG-15Colour Firmware Load Procedure V0910

Below you find the procedure to load firmware V0910 in the SG-15Colour flash memory:

Requirements: 1. SG-15Colour Price Checker


2. Firmware installer+image file: sd_sg15c_prodtool_0.9.10_210913.img.xz (1198 MB)
3. Utility: Balena Etcher
4. Micro SD card reader
5. One micro SD card. Requirements: ≥ 8GB Class 10 (slower will not work)

The Procedure:

1. Download and install Balena Etcher https://www.balena.io/etcher/

2. Through this OneDrive link you will receive the Firmware Install Tool + image file:

3. Load sd_sg15c_prodtool_0.9.10_210913.img.xz onto the SD card using Balena Etcher:


A. Locate the file sd_sg15c_prodtool_0.9.10_210913.img.xz and
B. Make sure you select the appropriate SD card reader drive
C. Select: Flash!

4. The writing process takes around 7 minutes, depending on the PC and reader speed.

On the next page you find the instructions


• to mount the SD card in the SG-15Colour and
• to install the new firmware in the SG-15Colour flash memory.

5. Remove the back cover by these two screws:

6. Insert the micro-SD card here ↓ and connect the power:

7. The usage is straightforward from now on:

Demo Website On-Line for SG-15Colour Web Price Checker Application

Introduction
The SG-15Colour - with the Web Price Checker application on board *1 - is
default preconfigured for a Live Demo of Cloud Based Price Checking,
working together with the demo website we have put On-Line.
See User's Manual Chapter 5.7 for all details.

: SG-15 firmware version ≥ V093.

This is how it works:


1. Connect the SG-15Colour to your local network (Ethernet or WiFi) with Internet access.
The use of DHCP is recommended. This the default SG-15Colour setting.
2. Scan the demo bar codes below.
