Manufacturing and Construction LSS

• Large sample survey (manufacturing) is conducted every 3 to 5


years to provide weights (i.e. sales values of each manufactured
product)

• The top 80% of products, in terms of sales value, are included in the
PPI goods basket and their prices are then monitored on a monthly
basis

• Construction LSS (2014 – published in 2016)

• Discussions with CE led to refinement of products shown in that


index

• Additional products included for CPAP

• Revamp of Plant and equipment
