1 About This Document

This document describes the features that are available in PostgreSQL on SAP BTP, hyperscaler option service.

The availability of some of them may depend on your license agreement with SAP. To illustrate integration with
other SAP offerings, the product documentation on the SAP Help Portal might include references to features
that aren’t included with SAP BTP. Features that are not included in this feature scope description might
require a separate license.

Feature Description

Secure Data Access Consume PostgreSQL databases provisioned on hyperscalers in your business appli-
cations, with a secure networking setup designed for private, low-latency access.

Managed backup and restore Turned on by default, automated backups ensures timely recovery of the PostgreSQL
database instance from any unfortunate system crash, within the configurable reten-
tion period.

High availability and Fault tolerance With Multi-AZ deployments automatically provision and manage a “standby” replica
in a different Availability Zone and protect your databases against unplanned outages
with automatic failover.

Flexible scaling Scale your databases flexibly based on application compute or storage requirements.

Extend your database functionality Do more with your PostgreSQL databases with support for PostgreSQL extension
APIs.

This agreement document for cloud service offerings from SAP forms the basis of your contractual relationship
