1. Introduction
1.1. Summary
In order to solve the phone bug or add some functions, the phone needs to be upgraded to
a newer version.

Applicable model: all phones
Applicable version: applicable to all versions of the model

1.3. Prerequisite preparation


① Fanvil X4U phone, and connect the phone to the switch to automatically obtain the IP
address.

② Take a PC / Laptop and connect it to the same switch together with the IP phone, make
sure that both devices are working on the same local network.

2. Solution

2.1 Download the firmware version required for phone


upgrade

Log in to the Fanvil website to download the firmware version of the corresponding phone

Note：①The downloaded upgrade file exists in the form of a compressed package and does
not need to be decompressed.

②If you can't find the desired version on the official website, you can contact Fanvil
technical support.

2.2 View the IP address of the phone

Click "Menu" - "Status" on the LCD screen of the phone to view the IP address

2.3. Log in web interface of the phone

2.4. Upgrade the firmware version of the phone

Log in to the phone on the web page, select "System" - "Upgrade" - "Software upgrade",
select the files required for the upgrade, and click "Upgrade"
