Transmission)
This section describes the basic procedure for transmitting documents using Memory Transmission
You can specify the fax, IP-Fox, Inlerne! Fax, e-mail, or folder destinations. Multiple types of destination
can be specified simultaneously. [4

documents.
+ Ifthere isa power failure (the main power switch is tuned off) or the machine is unplugged for

Using this function, you can instruct the machine to delay transmission of your fax document until a
specified later time
This allows you to take advantage of off:peak telephone charges without having to be by the machine ot
the time.
Use Memory Transmission for this function. Immediate Transmission is not possible.
* Ifthe machine is switched off for about 12 hours, all fax documents stored in memory are los. If
documents are lost for this reason, a Power Failure Report is automatically printed when the main
power switch is tuned on. Use this report to check the lst of lost documents. See "Turning Off the
Main Power / In the Event of Power Failure", Troubleshooting®.

Storing a Document
You can store and send a document atthe same time. You can aso jus store a document.
The following information can be set for the stored documents as necessary:
User Name
You can set this function if necessary to know who and what departments stored documents in the
machine. A user name can be selected from the Address Book or entered manually.
File Name
You can specify « name for a stored documen. If you do net specify « name, scanned documents
will be automatically assigned names such as "FAXO001" or "FAXO002".
You can se! this function so as no! to send to unspecified people. A four lo eigh! digit number can
be specified as a password.
You can also change the file information after storing files.

Using Quick Install, the PCL 6 printer driver is installed under network environment, and the Standard
TCP/IP pos will be set.

Step 1: Confirming the user name and computer nam
Confirm the user name and the name of the computer you will send scanned documents to,
1. Onthe [Stari] menu, voin Al jargon Uheferjories), and then click on
[Command Prompt]. .
2. Enter the command "ipconfig/all", and then press the [Enter] key.
3. Confirm the name of the computer.
The computer's name is displayed under [Host Name]
You can also confirm the IPv4 address. The address displayed under [IPv4 Address] isthe IPv4
address of he computer.
4, Next, enter the command "set user", and then press the [Enter] key. (Be sure to puta
space between "set" and “user".)
5. Confirm the user name.
The user nome is displayed under [USERNAME]
Step 2: Creating a shared folder on a computer running Microsoft Windows
Create o shared destination folder in Windows and enable sharing. Inthe following procedure, a
‘computer which is running under Windows 7 Ultimate and participating in a domain is used as an
