Sylhet Charkhai Sheola Highway Part 1 Conclusion

The interpretation report for the SYLHET - CHARKHAI - SHEOLA – SUTARKANDI project indicates that all soil samples fall within the CL-ML range, classified as Alluvial sand from As1 to As5. The SPT-N values categorize the soil layers from As1 to As4, with problematic soil identified in As1, suggesting ground improvement can proceed without the need for PVD. Detailed tables and figures provide average SPT-N values and their relation to elevation.

SYLHET - CHARKHAI - SHEOLA – SUTARKANDI-Interpretation report

All point of Atterberg limit is within CL-ML, Low plastic to non-plastic range (Fig. 1). So all
soil classified as Alluvial sand is within As1 to As 5.

SYLHET - CHARKHAI - SHEOLA – SUTARKANDI-Interpretation report

SPT- N from geotechnical investigation report are classified as As 1 to As4 soil layer. Average
SPT-N As1-As4 is given in Table 2. SPT N Vs. Elevation is given in Fig. 2. From Table 2, the
problematic soil is As1. So the ground improvement can be proceeded without PVD.
