Simple Present
Use: To describe habits, general truths,
or routines.
Time expressions: always, usually, often,
every day, sometimes, never, once a
year , twice a week , three times a day ,
every Saturday etc.
Example:
She reads every morning.
The sun rises in the east.
2. Present Continuous
Use: To describe actions happening now
or around this moment, or future plans.
Time expressions: now, right now, at
the moment, still , today, tonight,
currently, nowadays .
Example:
He is reading a book right now.
We are meeting her later today.
3. Past Simple
Use: To describe completed actions in
the past, often at a specific time.
Time expressions: yesterday, last week,
two days ago, in 2010, in the Middle
Ages, when I was a child, in 11th century
etc.
Example:
She visited Paris last year.
They played football yesterday.
We bought that car a month ago.
She was 6th grade two years ago.
