REASONS FOR REFUSAL
You have applied for a visa to visit the UK.
In deciding whether you meet the requirements of Appendix V: Visitor of the Immigration
Rules (www.gov.uk/guidance/immigration-rules/immigration-rules-appendix-v-visitor), I have
considered:
• your application and any additional relevant information you have provided with it
• your immigration history
The decision
I have refused your application for a visit visa because I am not satisfied that you meet the
requirements of paragraph(s) V4.2 – V4.6 of Appendix V of the Immigration Rules because:
• You have applied to travel to the UK with your spouse and children for 10 days for
tourism. In order to assess your application, I need to consider your current
circumstances as part of an overall assessment of your application and intentions in
the UK.
• Whilst I recognise that family visits are important, I must consider the information
regarding your sponsor’s support of your visit separately in my assessment of your
application. I acknowledge that you have indicated on your application form that your
sponsor will meet part of the costs associated with your trip which equates to £1,000
and provide you with accommodation whilst you are in the United Kingdom. To
consider whether or not I am satisfied that your intentions are as stated and that you
meet the requirements of the Immigration Rules, I must assess your own personal and
economic circumstances.
• You state that you are unemployed, and you have declared that you have no income
or savings of your own. To support your application, you have provided your sponsor’s
documents. Whilst I acknowledge these documents, the documents provided with your
visa application do not demonstrate your own financial circumstances in your home
country. As a result, I am unable to ascertain the veracity of the statements surrounding
your financial circumstances. In the absence of documents to demonstrate your
personal and financial circumstances, I am not satisfied that you have demonstrated
sufficient ties to your home country and the lack of supporting information submitted
with your application casts doubts over your application as a whole. It is the intentions
of the applicant that are paramount in considering any application and without this
information before me on the balance of probabilities, I am therefore not satisfied that
you intend to leave the UK at the end of your proposed visit.
• You have indicated on your application form that your sponsor will cover part of the
cost of your trip which equates to £1,000. Therefore, I have considered your sponsor’s
circumstances. In support of your sponsor’s financial circumstances, you have
provided your sponsor’s bank statement with account number ending 3770 with a
closing balance of 4,868,359.63 PKR / £13,443 as of 11 February 2025. Whilst I
acknowledge this statement and the closing balance, the documents you have
provided do not demonstrate how your sponsor has amassed these funds or their
origins. Given this, I am not satisfied your sponsor has demonstrated an accurate

OFFICIAL-SENSITIVE - PERSONAL DATA
reflection of their financial circumstances. Therefore, I am not satisfied your sponsor
has demonstrated that their circumstances are as they have stated, and this leads me
to doubt the intentions of your visit.
• In addition, I note that you have provided your sponsor’s FBR taxpayer registration
certificate dated 27 September 2021. However, this document is merely a document
that your sponsor is an active income taxpayer, it does not demonstrate your sponsor’s
annual financial circumstances or how much tax your sponsor has paid. I am therefore
not satisfied that your sponsor has satisfactorily demonstrated their annual total
income. This further undermines the credibility of your application.
• I note you have declared that you are residing with your spouse, and you have
indicated that your children are travelling with you on your application form. However,
the documents and information that you have provided do not demonstrate the
whereabouts or personal circumstances of your remaining family in your home country.
I am therefore not satisfied that you have demonstrated significant ties to your country
of residence, which would encourage you to leave the UK on completion of this visit.
• In assessing your entry clearance application, I have considered all the documents
and information provided against the requirements of Appendix V and have also taken
into account the published Visit guidance. The guidance indicates a number of factors
which can help assess if an applicant is a genuine visitor, including but not limited to
the following:
• their financial circumstances as well as their family, social and economic background
• their personal and economic ties to their country of residence
• The concerns noted in the paragraphs above mean that I am not satisfied that you
have accurately declared your personal and financial circumstances, which in turn
means I am not satisfied on the balance of probabilities that you are a genuine visitor.
While I note the information you have provided regarding your sponsor and your
sponsor’s property and or assets in your home country, I am not satisfied that these
other factors outweigh the concerns noted above. Therefore, I am not satisfied that
you are genuinely seeking entry as a visitor and that you will leave the UK at the end
of your visit. Your application is therefore refused under paragraphs V4.2 (a) and (c)
of the Immigration Rules.
