various engineering processes, such as site inspections, material assessments, and
technical documentation. This experience helped me develop essential technical skills,
improve my problem-solving abilities, and gain a deeper understanding of industry
standards and best practices. Additionally, it strengthened my communication,
teamwork, and adaptability- skills that are crucial for success in my future career.

One of the most valuable aspects of this immersion was being able to witness how civil
engineers contribute to infrastructure development and public safety. Seeing how
engineering principles are applied in real-life scenarios has further inspired me to
pursue a career in this field and continue learning and growing as an aspiring Civil
Engineer.

This portfolio contains the necessary documents and records of my work immersion
experience, including my resume, application letter, sample employment documents,
identification cards, and learning logs. It serves as a reflection of my progress and the
valuable lessons I have gained, which will guide me as I continue my journey toward

5. TIN ID

SOURCE:
https://images.app.goo.gl/nTv3pWyS6UjAAHVL7

Steps on How to Get a TIN ID

To apply for a Taxpayer Identification Number (TIN) ID, you must first be
registered with the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) as a taxpayer. If you do not have a
TIN yet, you need to determine your category, whether you are an employed individual,
self-employed, a mixed-income earner, or registering under Executive Order 98 for
government transactions.
For first-time applicants, visit the nearest BIR Revenue District Office (RDO)
where your employer or business is registered. Bring a duly accomplished BIR Form
1902 if you are an employee, or BIR Form 1901 if you are self-employed or a business
owner. You will also need a valid government-issued ID and, for employees, a copy of
your employer’s Certificate of Registration
Submit the completed forms and required documents to the BIR officer for
verification. If you are registering as self-employed, you may need to secure a BIR
Certificate of Registration and pay the required registration fee at an authorized bank.
Once your application is processed, you will be issued a TIN, which will serve as your
permanent taxpayer number for all BIR transactions
For those who already have a TIN but need a TIN ID card, visit your RDO and
request a TIN ID application form. Bring a valid ID and a photocopy of your TIN
registration document. Some RDOs may require a personal appearance and biometrics
capture.
Processing times vary, but in many cases, the TIN ID can be claimed on the
same day or within a few business days. The TIN ID serves as a government-issued
identification card and is primarily used for tax-related transactions, employment
requirements, and business registrations

I. Learning Insights
On February 8, my class had the privilege of attending a virtual seminar for our Work
Immersion subject. The event featured inspiring speakers from diverse professions,
each sharing their struggles, successes, and valuable insights that left a lasting impact
on me.

The session opened with Fr. Rolly S. Aniscal, the Vocation and Mission Promotion
Coordinator for the Columban Missionaries. His talk emphasized the importance of faith
in navigating life’s uncertainties. His journey to becoming a missionary and the
organizations that supported him were truly inspiring, reminding me that trusting in God
brings light even in difficult times.

One of the most engaging speakers was Mr. Felino Oliver S. Apor, the owner of
HNZ Lumbia Goat Farm. He shared insights into agribusiness, a field I hadn’t explored
before. His virtual farm tour made the experience interactive, showing us the dedication
required to run a successful farm.

We also heard from Mr. Dione John Cuerdo, Assistant Operations Manager at
Telephilippines Inc., and Sgt. Rita G. Arazo from the Department of National Defense.
Both faced career setbacks but overcame them with perseverance. Mr. Cuerdo turned
an unwanted course into a career, while Sgt. Arazo found an unexpected yet fulfilling
path in military administration. Their stories showed me that life’s unpredictability often
leads to unexpected opportunities.

Two speakers stood out the most: Mrs. Michelle Guevarra-Apal, a Rheumatology
Sister at King George Hospital, and Mrs. Nora Leonora Galleros-Tinio, a CPA and MBA
in New York. Mrs. Guevarra-Apal’s experience working abroad highlighted the
challenges of adapting to a new environment, inspiring me to consider opportunities
beyond borders. Meanwhile, Mrs. Galleros-Tinio’s journey from hardship to success
deeply resonated with me, especially her words, “Flying to the USA with only 100
dollars.” Her story was a powerful reminder that success comes from ambition,
resilience, and determination.

This virtual talk was an eye-opening experience that broadened my perspective. It

reinforced the importance of faith, perseverance, and embracing life’s uncertainties. The
lessons I learned from each speaker will serve as a guide as I navigate my own path
toward the future.
