Ciena Commands
This is a cheat list of the most used operational and troubleshooting Ciena Commands used in SAOS OS cli. We are covering Ciena 3900 series (3902, 3916, 3920,
3930, 3940, 3960, etc.), Ciena 4200 series, Ciena 6500 and Ciena 8700 series.

Ciena Operational Commands

mac show It shows the mac table in your PC

port show It shows generic physical parameters of the Ciena ports

port show port 3 It shows specific physical parameters of port 3

port show status It shows generic physical parameters of the Ciena ports, including description

port show statistics It shows statistics for each port

It shows the vendor name & part number & serial number of the optics inserted in the
port xcvr show serial

port xcvr show supported It shows the supportes tranceivers

port xcvr show port 2 It shows power transmitted and received in port 2

user show It shows the user account table

arp show It shows the ARP table

arp show interface <instance> It shows the ARP table for a specific instance

chassis show It shows chassis generic capabilities

chassis device-id show It shows chassis IDs, serial number, etc.

chassis fan-tray show It shows fans status and speeds

chassis dying-gasp show It shows dying-gasp status
