BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT

RULES AND REGULATION

(Venue: Lanao-bracket 1&2 I August 10-12,7:00 am)
(Venue: Balindog-bracket 3&4 I August 10-12,7:00 am)

General Guidelines:
1. The basketball competition shall be held in accordance with the rules of FIBA, as
supplemented by and/or supplemented by the guidelines stated hereunder.
2. Any unforeseen event not covered by the rules shall be dealt with as follows:
1.1. The technical question shall be resolved in accordance with the Technical
Guidelines, Rules, and Regulations of Basketball.
1.2. The question of eligibility shall be resolved in accordance with the
screening and eligibility guidelines of the SK Federation Committee.

Specific Rules:
Participating Teams:
1. The basketball tournament shall be attended by the invited 40 barangays and
teams.
Eligibility:
1. The eligibility rules shall be strictly observed. All eligibility documents must be
thoroughly screened.
2. The players must be 15-30 yrs. old during the league.
3. The player must be registered voter of their respective barangay represented.
4. The player must present an updated VOTER’S CERTIFICATION or NATIONAL
ID for verification.
Team Composition:
1. The participating teams may be composed of not more than 15 players as
maximum.
2. The players must wear proper uniform/attire.
3. Wearing accessories are highly prohibited.
Format of Tournament:
1. The basketball tournament shall adopt the Single Elimination Tournament for the
eliminations.
2. The 40 barangays will be divided to 4 brackets,10 teams per bracket.
3. Top 1 of each brackets will advance to the Best Four Semifinals with a double
elimination format.
 4. Teams must be present at the court 15minutes prior the scheduled match.
Forfeiture of teams will be awarded to teams who did not show up or who
showed up beyond the grace time of 15 minutes.

Champion: Php. 10,000.00
1st Runner-Up: Php. 8,000.00
2nd Runner-Up: Php. 5,000.00
3rd Runner-Up: Php. 3,000.00

Deadline of Submission:
1. The deadline of submission will be on August 5, 2024.

supplemented by and/or supplemented by the guidelines stated hereunder.

(Venue: JC COMPLEX, Lanao I August 10-12,8:00 am)
Specific Rules:

Participating Teams:
1. The badminton tournament shall be attended by the invited 40 barangays and
teams.
Eligibility:
1. The eligibility rules shall be strictly observed. All documents must be thoroughly
screened.
2. The players must be 15-30 yrs. old during the tournament.
3. The player must be registered voter of their respective barangay represented.
4. The player must present an updated VOTER’S CERTIFICATION or NATIONAL
ID for verification.
Team Composition:
1. The participating teams must be composed of (1) male and (1) female.
2. The players must wear proper uniform/attire.
3. Wearing accessories are highly prohibited.
4. Players must bring their own rackets.
Format of Tournament:
1. The badminton tournament shall adapt the Single Elimination Tournament for the
eliminations.
2. The 40 barangays will be divided to 4 brackets,10 teams per bracket.
3. Top 1 of each brackets will advance to the Best Four Semifinals with a double
elimination format.
4. A 31 point scoring system will be used in the elimination round.
5. Teams must be present at the court 15minutes prior the scheduled match.

showed up beyond the grace time of 15 minutes.
6. In the Semifinals Round, a Double Elimination Method shall be followed.

PAINTING CONTEST
GUIDELINES AND MECHANICS
(Venue: CCDC Training Center, Magsaysay I August 11,8:00 am)

Guidelines
1. Each barangay must have 1 participant only.
2. Participant must be a resident of Kidapawan City.
 3. Participants must be 15-30 years old during the competition.
4. Each participant must provide their own painting materials.
5. The output must be based on the Linggo ng Kabataan Theme: “From Clicks to
Progress: Youth Digital Pathways for Sustainable Development”
6. All output must be done on the spot and must be completed within the allotted
time of three (3) hours.
Criteria for Judging:
 Relevance to the theme --- 40%
 Composition ------------------ 25%
 Visual Impact ---------------- 20%
 Techniques ------------------ 15%
Total --------------------------- 100%

Prizes:
Champion: Php. 5,000.00
1st Runner-Up: Php. 3,000.00
2nd Runner-Up: Php. 2,000.00
3rd Runner-Up: Php. 1,000.00

CHESS TOURNAMENT
MECHANICS AND GUIDELINES
(Venue: Liga Hall, Kidapawan City I August 10,8:00 am)

Guidelines
1. Each barangay must have 1 participant only.
2. Participant must be a resident of their respective barangay represented.
 3. Participant must be 15-30 years old during the tournament.
4. The 40 barangays will be divided into 4 brackets, 10 teams each.
5. Single Elimination Method will be used in the Elimination Round.
6. Top 1 of each bracket will advance to the Semi-final Round (Double Elimination
Method).
7. Players must bring their own chess board.
8. Any form of cheating, exploitation, or unsportsmanlike behavior, will lead to
warning or an immediate disqualification.
Prizes:
Champion: Php. 3,000.00
1st Runner-Up: Php. 2,000.00
2nd Runner-Up: Php. 1,500.00
3rd Runner-Up: Php. 1,000.00
