1. The children decided to explore the house because it was
raining outside and they were feeling bored.

2. In the wardrobe, Lucy looked back over her shoulders


because she was a little scared and wanted to check if the way
back was still open.

3. Mr Tumnus said it was dangerous because if anyone found


out he was helping Lucy, the White Witch would punish him.

4. The other children did not wonder where Lucy had gone
because for them, Lucy was only gone for a few seconds. They
didn’t even notice she was missing.

5. Lucy burst into tears because no one believed her and


everyone thought she was joking.
