make an impact to the world and we’re looking for a sharp, collaborative person to
join us in our hustle.

About the Role


We’re seeking a driven and dynamic Founding Software Engineer to join us in
person. You’ll be working towards ensuring the quality of our codebase, coding new
features and resolve customer issues -- 70% of your time will go towards heads-
down coding and 30% towards talking to customers and fixing their issues. This role
requires technical excellence, strong communication skills, and a customer-first
mindset.

What You’ll Be Doing:


 Writing code.
 Maintain and improve code quality, ensuring robust and efficient cloud-based
solutions.
 Engage directly with customers to troubleshoot and resolve their issues
effectively, including jumping on calls when needed.
 Collaborate closely with the CTO, and business operations teams to align
technical solutions with business needs.

What We’re Looking For:


 Extensive experience with cloud platforms (we use GCP).
 Advanced skills in SQL and query optimization, caching databases, and
building stable, large-scale applications and databases.
 Advanced backend engineering skills.
 Strong problem-solving abilities, with expertise in diagnosing and resolving
technical issues.
 Excellent communication skills, capable of simplifying complex solutions for
diverse audiences.
 Comfortable engaging with customers directly, including live troubleshooting
sessions.
 A minimum of 3 years of experience in developing web applications and
scalable systems.
 Open to exceptions if we find the right fit.

Nice to Have:
 Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
 Experience with Puppeteer or other scraping tools.
 Experience with Langchain or other LLM frameworks.
 Experience working in a startup environment.
