How to insert an image/logo ?

Open LibreOffice Writer: Make sure
you're in the document where you want to
insert the image.
• Place the Cursor: Click where
you want to insert the image.
• Insert Image:

• Go to the Insert menu in the


toolbar.
• Select Image > From File.
• Browse your computer for the
image file you want to insert.
• Select the file and click Open.

• Adjust the Image:

• Once inserted, click on the image

• You can resize the image by
dragging its corners.
• Right-click on the image for more
options like Wrap, Alignment,
Position, or Properties to adjust
the image according to your needs.

Q2. How to insert Table ?

• Place the cursor in your


document
where you want the table to be
inserted.
• Click on the Table icon on the
Standard
• toolbar, or go to the Table menu
and select Insert

• In the dialog box that appears,
specify the number of rows and
columns you want for your table.
• Click OK to insert the table into
your document.

Applying Borders
Fig:
• Select the table or cells where you want
to apply borders.
• Right-click and choose Table Properties
from the context menu.
• In the Table Properties dialog, click the
Borders tab.
• You can choose a predefined border
style or create a customized border style.
Applying Table Borders For a custom style, select the edges in the
User-defined area to toggle the selection
of an edge.
• Choose a line style and colour for the
selected border style in the Line area.
• Set the distance between the border lines
and the table contents in the Padding

• Click OK to apply the
changes to your table.

Left Alignment

• Click inside the cell or select the
cells of the table where you want to
align the text to the left.

• Go to the Table menu and choose Table


Properties.

• In the Table Properties dialog, switch to


the text Flow tab.
Aligning to the Left
• Under the Alignment section,
select Left from the Horizontal
Alignment options.

• Click OK to apply the changes.

Q3. Write the steps to create new style.

Open the Styles Pane:

• Press F11 on your keyboard or click the


Styles button on the sidebar.
• This opens the Styles and Formatting
panel.

• Create a New Style:

• In the Styles and Formatting pane,


right-click the type of style you want to
create (e.g., Paragraph Styles,
Character Styles, Page Styles, etc.).
• Select New from the context menu.

• Define the New Style:

• In the Style dialog box, give your new
style a Name.
• In the Linked with dropdown, select an
existing style to base it on (optional).
• Go through the tabs (e.g., Font, Font
Effects, Alignment, Indents &

Spacing) and customize the formatting
options.

• Save the Style:

• Once you've defined the style's settings,


click OK to save the new style.

• Apply the Style:

• Highlight the text or paragraph where


you want to apply the new style.
• In the Styles and Formatting pane,
double-click the style you just created to
apply it.

Q4. How to save your document as template ?

• Go to the Template Saving Option:

• Click on the File menu in the toolbar.


• Select Templates and then click on
Save As Template.

• Choose a Template Category:

• In the Save as Template dialog box,


choose a category for your template
(e.g., My Templates or create a new
category).

• Name Your Template:

• Enter a name for your template in the
New template box.

• Save the Template:

• Click Save to save your document as


a template.

Q5. How do we save documents with protection?

• Click on File in the toolbar.


• Select Save As.
• In the Save As dialog box, check the
option Save with password (usually
located near the bottom).
• Choose the location and file name, then
click Save.

• Set a Password:

• A dialog box will appear prompting you


to enter a password.
• Enter your desired password in the Set

password field. (This password will be
required to open the document).
• If you want to protect the document from
editing (while allowing it to be opened
without a password), click the More
Options dropdown and set a separate
password for modifying the document
under the Set password to modify
option.

• Confirm the Password:

• Re-enter the password to confirm, then


click OK.

• Save the Document:

• Your document will now be saved with


password protection. To open or edit it,
you (or anyone else) will need to enter
the password.
