Q: Can I work on D-Sides?
A: At the moment, we’re full. If we reopen D-Sides member applications, you’ll know it, but
chances are they will not open again. We’re not accepting, so please stop asking.
Q: Are you stopping at Week 8?
A: At the moment, the game plan is Weekend 1, Week 8, Tricky, Vs. Sonic.Exe, Carol and
Whitty in that order. That’s all we have planned for though, for full weeks or mod coverage. So,
by all technicality, yes, D-Sides will be stopping at Week 8. At a later time, though, if everyone
wants to do more vanilla FNF weeks, maybe, but all hyperfixations die eventually.
Q: How do you make a D-Sides design?
A: Typically, I take a character, come up with a new concept for them, and run with it. If a
character’s “normal” version is, say, a security guard, their D-Sides version might be the total
opposite, like some kind of criminal, maybe a thief. OR, they might still be a figure of authority,
but a different kind, like a cop. Just switch around the character’s general theming! You can give
characters new lore as well. Not 100% required, but it's something we do most of the time.
Sometimes, for a very specific type of character, we’ll change the character those specific things
happen to (Obviously changing some major details so it fits for that different character.
Examples include Starved being Chaos, Suicide Mouse being Lucky Rabbit, and so on.)
However, we very rarely swap character roles. The only real example of this is Ivo and Maria

Q: Is [character]’s name [x] in this mod?
A: For the most part, no character names get changed unless the theming is just incredibly
different and the original name would be irrelevant, such as “Tankman” becoming “Planeman”,
since he’s a plane pilot now, or Impostors changing names due to having new colours. We also
might change some names if it's just funny, like “Monster” becoming “Chester”. I most commonly
get asked about Skid and Pump’s names being things like “Vamp and Ghast” or “Fang and Boo”
or things like that, but nope! They’re still just Skid and Pump.
Q: Can I make my own D-Sides version of [character]?
A: Sure! Any fanmade design is neat, but even if you wanna tackle your own version of an
existing design, that’s cool too.
Q: Can I make a fanmade D-Sides remix?
A: Of course! We love seeing fanmade songs! Even if they’re just WIPs or proof of concepts.
Q: Can I make my own D-Sides fan mod?
A: That’d be really cool! We love seeing that sort of stuff, too! The only things we ask for are
proper credit, even if it's just linking the GB or GJ on your mod’s page.
Q: Can my mod have a D-Sides remix/Can my mod feature D-Sides [character]?
A: If you want to make a D-Sides remix for your character and include it in your mod, by all
means, go ahead! And you can have a D-Sides character or two featured in your mod. Like the
previous question, though, credit is required.
Q: What do you have planned for D-Sides Erect Mode?
A: We have something entirely new planned. Unlike Erect, however, we are NOT remixing the
songs. Remixes of remixes are sorta redundant, don't you think? D-Sides Erect is going to be
purely gameplay-based.

Q: Can I use Mighty.ZIP/Zephaniah in my FNF Mod?
A: Sure! You know the deal by this point. Proper credit, yadda yadda. I will say, I prefer for the
canon variant of Zephaniah to appear over the D-Sides variant. The canon variant’s

Q: Can I use Mighty.ZIP/Zephaniah in my EXE-based game/project (Smash Bros. clone, Mario
Kart clone, etc.)?
A: Same as the previous question, except the canon variant only. The D-Sides one can appear
as an alternate costume or something like that, but the Zephaniah appearing in your project has
to be the canon one.
Q: Will Mighty.ZIP get his own game in the future?
A: Later down the line, I have plans to make a full-scale Mighty.ZIP game, yes. Plans are to do it
later though.
…And it also probably won’t be fully accurate to the pasta. Considering he bricks the
protagonist’s computer at the end.
Q: What is the backstory behind [character] in D-Sides?
A: Most characters do have their own new background and story. Most of those have been
logged in our full LORE DOCUMENT, which can be found here:

Q: I’m making a Friday Night Funkin’ game on Roblox, and am looking for mods to add to its
roster. Can I add D-Sides?
A: No. The answer is simply no. Please don’t badger me, or anyone on the team, for an answer
as to why. We’re just against this.
EDIT: You may use D-Sides characters in a Roblox Roleplay game, but ABSOLUTELY NO FNF
clones like Funky Friday, Bloxxin’, etc.
Q: How about making some designs for the [franchise] cast, like you did with Mario and Sonic?
A: Making those cast design ref sheets takes a lot of work, and we’re probably more likely to
make those refs for franchises that are really important to FNF, like Sonic (Thanks to Vs.
Sonic.Exe), Mario (Thanks to Mario’s Madness), FNAF (Thanks to Ourple Guy), and so on.
There is a really low chance that we’ll make refs for series or franchises that aren’t SUPER
important to FNF, like how there are Dragon Ball designs, but it's super unlikely. My ultimate
point is, you won’t see us making refs for things like Super Mario Logan, Toy Story or Tom &
Jerry. You’re always welcome to make your own designs, though!
Q: What are the plans for covering the Pico update/future Playable Characters?
A: In a tweet before the update, I explained that D-Sides won’t be adding any more Playable
Characters. The full thread can be found here:

Some slight notes I’d like to make about this thread, I said that we’d still be adding Miku as a
playable in 3.5, however since this thread, plans have MAJORLY shifted, and everything from
Weeks 1 - 6 are getting remade. We now see no reason to add even MORE covers, since the
Miku covers for the old versions of the songs aren’t even made yet. As such, Miku IS being
scrapped with the other Playable Characters mentioned here, but her sprites will remain in the
mod. Alongside this, we’re removing the current Playable Characters, Girlfriend and Pico, from
Freeplay as well, due to the enlarged file size it would bring. Especially for a feature that takes
so much effort, but not many cared about.
As for future Playable Characters from base FNF, this all applies to them, too. We’re a team of
teenagers and young adults making this mod for free. It's a lot of work for some kids that have
school and jobs. Some of us have both. Like I said during the question about Week 8, after FNF
has been released in full, maybe you can expect us to return to D-Sides and cover everything,
but as of now, we have no plans to. It's just a lot of work.
Q: Can I make a D-Sides Fanmod based on [thing]/Can I include D-Sides in my mod if it also
has [thing]?
A: If you have to question it, the answer is likely no. Take a glance at the blacklist and if you find
it there, you'll have your answer.
Q: Is Chameleon/SP official?
A: Yes, I (DastardlyDeacon) actually helped Raven write some of his lore.
Q: If that’s the case, will there be remixes of Faker and/or Black Sun?
A: They still won’t be happening, but not due to any controversies. We have a lot of Sonic.exe
content planned already, and don’t really wanna add anymore to the roster. We know there’s a
lot of Exe content in the mod already, we’ve had to face people saying we turned into an Exe
mod because of it. We don’t wanna entertain that train of thought, even if it's objectively
incorrect.
Q: Do you guys have any plans to cross over with [mod]?
A: A full list of the crossovers we have publicly confirmed to be happening or at the very least
have planned can be found here. However, there are also many mods that we plan to cross
over with that we haven’t publicly disclosed for one reason or another, although the most
common reason is because they’d be a nice surprise.

Roc and José from Pico’s School, who are racist stereotypes.)
We would also like to ask that EVERYONE refrain from making D-Sides designs, fanart,
fansongs and (obviously) fanmods for any of the aforementioned mods and/or
characters.
