Conduct competency assessment

Good morning, before we will start, may i request everyone to please stand for a
prayer. Thank you you may take your seat.

Again good morning everyone, my name is ______________________ your accredited

competency assessor for the qualification food processing nc ii. So, here’s my
identification card as a accredited assessor for this qualification and here’s my
appointment letter from the tesda center and welcome to zamboanga peninsula
polytechnic state university and today is your competency assessment day and it will
run for the whole day from 8 in the morning until 5 in the afternoon.

Now before i start with the conduct of assessment i have checked our facilities, tools,
equipment and materials that you will be using for this competency assessment to
make sure it complies with the requirements and the purpose of this assessment and
also to make sure a safe environment.

I would like to acknowledge the presence of mr. Junren ledesma our tesda
representative from provincial office. And he will be providing us with the complete
set of assessment package including:

 Assessor’s guide  Checklist tools

 Specific instructions for the  The attendance sheet
assessor and the trainees  The field application forms
 Rating sheets  Self-assessment guide
 Evidence plan

And other materials that you will need for the assessment.

My dear candidates you do not have to worry about their presence they are here to
oversee the conduct of the competency assessment and to check if the conduct is in
accordance with the prescribed competency assessment methodology and
procedures. They will not assess you because i will be the one to assess you, okay?

Before we start with the orientation i'm going to check the attendance, as i call your
name please hand over here your admission slip as well as your valid id so i can
validate your identity and also please affix your signature. May i call on

I’ve already checked your application, the photos, id and the signatures are the same
with the people who are here today. I have here with me your accomplish application
form and self-assessment guide as an indication that you know and you can perform
all the units of competency enumerated in this qualification. I’ve already checked
your self-assessment guide. I have also checked the completeness of the test
package, the completeness of the documents and they are also properly and
completely filled-out, meaning you are now ready to take the national assessment.

“today, i am going to conduct competency assessment for Driving nc ii. It is the

qualification level that consists of basic, common and core competencies and here are
the following core competencies:

(present the basic and common competencies) here are the basic competencies, as
well as the common competencies. This are all life skills that are very important to
help us develop professionalism at work.
In Driving we also have the five core competencies

(read the ppt and give brief explanation)

The purpose of this assessment is for you to identify and apply the context of these
competencies and for you to acquire a certification for Driving nc ii. This national
certificate will enable you to be more employable and productive to the changing
requirements of the industry and the workplace.

As an assessor, i am here to gather evidence and make judgements for this

assessment. I will assess your skills, knowledge and attitude with regards to these
competencies.

If one or more of the competencies are not met, it means you can get a not yet
competent remark and if you fulfill all the units of competencies for this qualification,
you will get a competent remark and you will get a national certificate for Driving nc
ii, that will be valid for 5 years.

To claim the national certificate just follow this steps: (read the ppt)

If you receive a not yet competent remark, don’t worry because you can be
reassessed. If you are not satisfied with the result of assessment you have the right to
appeal immediately or within 48 hours (read ppt) you may submit your appeal to the
tesda provincial office where the assessment center and the assessor has been
accredited. If you agree with the results and you want to be reassessed follow the
following steps (read ppt) you can try the re-assessment twice but in case where you
get the not yet competent you may need to do the training again.

15min. Break to attend to our personal needs. If you need to use the comfort room, it
is just located on the next room and if you need to take your meal the canteen is just
located across the gate however once the assessment has started you are no longer
allowed to leave the premises

Let’s now proceed to the practical work area for the demonstration. Let me explain
what will happen in this demonstration. You will have a 5 hour demonstration and you
will do this simultaneously. You will be preparing to perform light vehicle pre-starting
and warm up. After the demonstration you will have the oral questioning, then i will
give you feedback and the result of your assessment.

If none, i will now distribute the consent form. This will allow us to collect information,
to monitor and record your performance with the help of cctv and only authorized
people can view this when needed. Now here’s the specific instructions please read it
carefully.if you need assistance, i will be more than willing to assist you. And if you
have questions, now is the time to ask because i will not entertain any question during
the demonstration.

properly assess your performance. I will also be monitoring your performance on my
rating sheet. Given the necessary tools, supplies, and equipment, you should be able
